Curious?

Thats the only description I wanted to leave lol... but oh well, no doubt you can already tell the levels based on you getting yourself into some trouble... and trying to find a way out.

It's pretty hard... or so I'm told.. I really tried to make this one much easier than some of my others... but I guess I failed horribly. So I suggest playing it alone... its much harder with more people.

It's really quite long as well... probably a good 15 mins with a few deaths. Maybe too long... heh but oh well.

There's two boss fights sort of... really dont want to give away much more without giving away the story. So give it a try if you want to... could use some feedback especially on the difficulty. I'm willing to do 5 F4Fs, may not be able to get around to them for a few days though.

Here's a couple pictures.

couldnt finish but what i saw deserves 4/5 stars!! good job
heres the improvements:
the robo 3000 boss is too hard, add a paintonator or remove the brains from the spining mallets.
the spinning mallets after you fall down hole near start are so annoying to get past, keep getting spiked or killed by mysterious gas???
i couldnt finish because, at the puzzle with the jetpack and colour coded objects, the white one went outta range and i couldt get it back...
fix these and your on your way to a 5 star!!! play my level please:
silent hill 2 REBORN (there are 2 parts play both please)

@Takelow

Sorry about that >< I'll fix them soon.

@Talmasca
Thanks for playing and writing up this feedback, was helpful, I will try your level later today or tomorrow and let you know what I think.
I added another checkpoint for that boss... adding the paintinator would probably make him way too easy. Same for removing the brains on them.
The spinning mallets... I'm probably going to just go remove some sponge so you can only grab it in the middle, make it more precise but at least you wont be getting killed by the spikes the gas is there just to make it look more like fire with the black rising up... maybe I'll just remove it.
Couldve sworn I had fixed that puzzle part.... but you may have played it before I did. They should be good now.

@Mrgenji
Yeah, changed the look and added score bubbles and some of your suggestions since you last played it.

Pros

- Boss(latter one, I suppose) was pretty clever and fun. But the first part was kind of boring.

- The robot bear part was fun. Though, the bears are not actually squished, and one of them is just hit by a block which then rolls off, so that lessens the mood a bit.

- Can't think of anything else off the top of my mind, I tend to focus on Cons so you can improve your level.

Cons/Suggestions

- I managed to not land in the cage at the beginning of the level. Didn't really make a difference, but still.

- It would be good if the falling staircase after the spotlight bit wouldn't squish you.

- Having to hold onto something attached to an electric object while on a jetpack makes for a lot of cheap deaths.

- After the truck dissolves at the end, you can walk to the right for a long way, I'm not sure it goes to the end as I didn't go all the way, but it'd be good to add a wall somewhere so people get the message about nothing being there.

Thanks for playing, appreciate the feedback it was very helpful.

That bear certainly goes squish now.... for the most part at least

Going to mess around with the cage.

The jet pack part.... should be no more cheap death, made them more spongey.

The falling staircase bit lol..was just for a joke... I'll just make it a normal staircase.

Added a wall, really needed that heh... I'm sure some others ran off to the right and it was able to go all the way to the other side ><

Ok man thanks for the feedback, I just got through with Curiosity, and heres what I got to say..

First of all, Brilliant level, although it was extremely challenging, I REALLY enjoyed playing it..

ok Pros: Verry good level.
Fantastic level design.
I loved the spikey hammers with the sugar skulls towards the begining. (god that seems like forever ago now)
I loved the robots that you had too drop the blocks on their head to kill, and i loved the fart noises when you step on the blocks...
Like I said I really enjoyed the whole level.

ok now cons (theres alot more cons just because the pros were pretty even, whole level was good, these things just kinda stuck out to me)

Ok the Chefbot3000 or w.e. was kindof hard, I mean not way too hard, but you could take the brain off his right arm and I think hed be perfect...
ok right after the jumping over smoke part after the chef.. you fall and theresthe spotlight/plasma gun part... first time idk what happened but checkpoint didnt clear and I got blasted by plasma right when I fell...
ok I think its after you kill the robots with the blocks and stuff (not sure) theres a rope to grab a rope and swing to a vent, the rope could have been a little lower. I died like 3 times trying.
ok the Upside down pyramid with the spinning cubes was kindof frusterating.
the race was a little much.
the paintinator on the spinning plat was kindof frusterating because I kept getting paint and not being able to grab platform..
the final boss was a little dissapointing, I guess just because the first boss was so hard.

and my final complaint, the second half level was just the second half of the same level.. I mean not really a con, but I really hoped I was a sequal...

and speaking of sequal I cant wait for It, Im ready to bring them down!

Ideas going through my head:

Very nice intro, I like the butterflies and trees.

Omg, I love the peppermint thing, very creative and funny.

Alright, seems like this is where the level officially starts.

The Pros

- The intro, it's very nice, the way you start off in a nice, feild, filled with butterflies, then all of a sudden you find yourself trapped in a cage. Good stuff.

- Nice peppermint idea by the way, had a good laugh at the "gulp" noise going on...

- Use of paintanator is alright, I'll get into that later though.

- I really really like those spinning platforms, haven't seen anyone do it before, so props for that man.

- The chef or butcher or whatever, it's a nice "boss" I guess, it does have some weak points though. ( Get into that later as well )

- I like the transition from straight up platforming, into a sneaky situation, music fits really well here too.

- I really loved that "FINALLY IM FREE!" *squish* section, it gave me a good laugh and it's always great to see a level with some humor put into it. Good one.

- Lol, Robo-bears... xD I like them, but there is also something about them that doesn't seem right. I'll get into that later.

- The vent area, pretty fun, I like the constant different platforming you have to do, it keeps the player entertained, there is a bad side to this section though, I'll post it in it's proper section.

- Secur-Bot or whatever, that boss was very very creative, I applaud you for that one.

-Hmm, a sequel eh? Very nice ending, can't wait to see the sequel!

Suggestions/Feedback

- Maybe, for the start, you can add a really big spotlight up top? To emphasize a "happy" "everything in life is great!" sorta mood. I think it would fit well here. Making the "trap" set up for you even more exciting.

- The use of the paintanator on the red blocks, it's alright I guess, but half way through the level, it gets a bit tedious and it almost seems more like a chore then anything else. You could possibly cut back on the ones you have to do, maybe have a few that are already there? Only suggestions I see fit...

- The first sub boss, I guess, seems a bit unforgiving. I played the level 3 times, and I had to die everytime I wanted to get one of the brains on his hands, I notice you have 2 checkpoints, but I don't like the fact that you basically "have" to die in order to kill him, unless I'm missing something...

- After passing the searchlight, and entering the room, shooting the stairs above you, always has you end up being squished, once again it seems a bit weird. Never a good idea to reward someone with a death, and once again I don't see how you can forsee this part, most players will go right under it and die.

- The Robo-bears, are awesome, and for something this awesome, I would expect a threat, but there isn't one! Like seriously, They just sit there, and shoot up in the air, they pose no serious threat at all. Have them shoot the plasma balls at you, and you'll fix this problem.

- While on the subject of the robo-bears, the paintanator near the spawn should be moved infront of the spawn, I forgot to get it about 2-3 times when I had spawned, forcing me to go back, small fix, but makes it all the better.

- The spinning platform with a paintanator is very frustrating, I was stuck here for about 2 minutes, because everytime I would jump and try to grab the platform, I would grab the paintanator instead, I don't see the point of having it attached to the platform, so just put it on one of the platforms below it. It would cause less frustration for a lot of people.

- After beating the boss, when you reach the moving glass platforms, and after you pass that, inside the vent, I would really like to see a checkpoint, because if you die, you have to do the whole glass section again, and it's pretty difficult.

Overall

Fun level? Definately! Long level ( In a good way ) Most definately! A bit frustrating? Unforunately, yes. But with some of the suggestions I have posted, and a few from other LBPC members, this level can become a really fun level, I liked the overall look, and the story ( Oh noes! Cooking sackpeople? What kind of a .... )

Can't wait to see the sequel. 5 Stars and Hearted! Keep em comin!
