I will be using this thread to post all kinds of things I can share with you that I've learned in the game. You should be able to come here for some fresh stuff. Dangerous Air I used this in my level Future Frenzy. Basically, all you must do is make a shape out of force field and add the danger tweaker to it. It looks cool with electricity. Think of the metal balls in Victoria's Lab from LBP2 connected with holographic electricity, but with real electricity. You can kind of see it in the background of this picture: https://lbpk-production.s3.amazonaws.com/player_creations/71239/data.jpg Elevated Breadcrumbs: Made With Ease For the times when you must make long breadcrumb paths off the track and they need to be elevated, you can make things much easier. Simply raise the terrain right under the path Sackboy will be travelling, add breadcrumbs, then flatten the terrain. The breadcrumbs will not go down with the terrain. You can make any adjustments by editing the breadcrumb positions and sizes with the breadcrumb tool. Making Spheres Out of Materials This one is honestly useless and a waste of GPU/CPU power, but it's something. Make a cylinder that is thick enough to revolve around itself. Then, clone it a bunch of times as you rotate it around itself. You would probably be better off using one of the balls and adding stickers to it or something. There will be more to come as I become more experienced with the editor. | 2012-11-18 16:46:00 Author: aar2697 Posts: 143 |
Rolling Ground This is similar to the Bowser's Castle track in Mario Kart Wii with the rolling carpet. Geoshape a long cylinder. Attach a piston to it. Adjust the piston to your liking. Then, clone the cyclinder multiple times near itself. Change the sync of each piston once done cloning x times. | 2012-11-24 04:53:00 Author: aar2697 Posts: 143 |
Moving objects around with the controllinator Don't forget we have the direction splitter even though we don't have advanced movers. Attach thrusters for all directions need, put a direction splitter for horizontal or vertical direction, connect the joystick output to the direction splitter, then attach the two direction splitter outputs to the two opposite thrusters on the same axis. I hope that makes enough sense. I've provided a diagram which should make all of these words futile visual learners. http://i.imgur.com/IbrK9.png DS = Direction Splitter Th = Thruster L = Left analogue stick (which can be substituted for the right analogue stick, sixaxis, or D-pad) | 2012-11-28 01:25:00 Author: aar2697 Posts: 143 |
