Do you prefer indie games, or mainstream games?

Depends. Typically indie games but there really isn't anything quite like a quality mainstream game when it's been done right.

I mainly play whatever my daughter wants me to play with her. Between her and LBPC/LBP that's all the time I have.

I play mainstream more than anything but if there is a cool indie one I'd be up for playing that. It's more about the game, not who made it for me.


For gaming, console, PC, or mobile?

I'll say handheld first (as in Vita/PSP), console second, and mobile third (as in smartphone/iPad)

Depends, probably console then mobile.

Well, mostly console but I do game on my ipad too. I'm thinking of buying a new gaming PC just so I can play Diablo 3 and get Skyrim mods (and Dawnguard.)



Would LBPC be a better place if I visited it more often?

It would be nothing short of magical.

So... considering I haven't seen schm0 and Aya in forever, should there be some sort of limit for how long someone could leave the forum before they are decommissioned? Just saying, if they're not currently doing their modly duties... But what do I know.

Stop reading my to-do list. To answer your question more directly, yes - I am monitoring roles and responsibilities sitewide with activity level in mind.

Not trying to suggest I should be, I probably would either abuse the power or not use the power, but seems kind of like there should always be at least one mod on.

Ideally, there should always be at least one mod on, yes. That makes more sense in concept than in practice for the most part, but it's something we are always striving for.

I've been told I'm on to much already.



Not trying to say you're doing a bad job, I would never insult my two mommies or those other guys, and I'm not sure we even need any more but eh. Just thought I'd ask. /shrug

Heavens no. I was just finishing up preparing him a copy of our balance sheet and cash flow statement anyway.



Maybe with that in mind since Rock is in college and thinking about career goals, you can take a shot at suggesting what you think he might be good at.

What the chicken actually did was to breach foldspace by exploitation of the suspensor-nullification properties of the Holtzman effect. Of course, the non-deterministic nature of quantum projections like this require a certain minimum level of prescience to achieve, unless a secondary low-drain field is applied. First of all, which cookie is your favorite?

Still love the M&S Extremely Chocolatey chocolate rolls right now. You can never go wrong with Chocolate when I'm around.

Overall, it has to be Oreos. There is a bakery in my town though that makes molasses cookies to die for.

Because I don't think it deserves it's own thread... could you PLEASE just get rid of the awards system? It's buggy, and getting those notifications just gets my hope up that someone messaged me. Kind of useless, too.

As far as I can tell, all the current staff members are in the USA (or at least North America). I know Aya is a brit but he's pretty inactive and he doesn't actually have a blue name any more
And while the current mod team is doing a great job, surely we could do with at least one more active staff member from a different corner of the world? Who is there to keep the streets of LBPC clean and safe when all the mods are in bed?

I've been living in the UK for the last year and a half so I try and cruise the site during daylight hours there. I'm just back in NA for Christmas at the moment.

Long time ago, loved it. I've played a lot of D&D-ruleset-based games since then.

I got Chronicles of Mystara on my ps3 so yep, played it in the past on paper and on my ps3 now.

Not really. I guess I mostly hope folks will enjoy the game and be nice to everyone. Wish it would be like when I first started with LBP1, but that is probably a bit optimistic.

No, not like that, I mean the homepage! Silly.

Like have it be so when you type lbpcentral.com in the address bar, it takes you straight to the forum index? Because I've been going on on the library computer a lot (like now, for instance) and have to log in on the forum index anyway because you can't log in on the home page, so it's only an extra click but you never update the home page anyway. I mean, yeah, you update it with the Spotlights, but most people just go straight to the forum for that. In fact, people come here just for the forums, so unless you'll be starting to update the home page and actually integrate it into the site, can we just skip that whole thing? Not too big a deal, just an extra click for me and makes newbies wonder why it hasn't been updated in four years but not too big really. Just a small problem, not worth its own thread.

I kinda like the idea of the homepage, so far just not the execution which happens to make it a bit useless, if we gave it a facelift I think it could be pretty neat. You could have pictures (or video if there is one) and a lbp.me link to all the Spotlighted levels rotating through, maybe a couple of the Spotlighters' quotes there too. List of the 'Also from the spotlight' with lbp.me links, List of most recent wiki entries, contests, I dunno just throwing ideas out.

Of course someone would have to dedicate there time and skill, I would if I could but I can't so I shan't.

If you could create any game you wanted, what would the game be?

A fun one! lol I dunno.. maybe a combo of BF3 and Portal 2. Wish I had made LBP though.

One that helped people express their creativity... so I guess LBP. Too bad MM already made it. lol

Is there anything you like more about LBP than LBP2?

Keep in mind I love the new chip / logic tech in LBP2..

The lighting engine!! LBP1 was so much cooler to play with in regards to the lighting. LBP2 is just too harsh. I loved how you could saturate and make materials glow with colored light or fogged light. You really could make some marvelous moods. Not that you can't in LBP2, but just not the same. Hidden glowy led's and gassed spots really would make some amazing effects. Plus you had background and foreground lighting.

Agree 100% with jww. Lights were better in 1.

I know that a major change to the website's design would be quite hard to accomplish but yeah, some parts of the web feel really outdated. Anyway...

1) Have you ever played / heard of the Zero Escape series?

No! Is it on PS3 or PC?

2) If you had to finish with all humanity, what weapon would you use?

Toaster oven? You mean like a zombie invasion? Maybe a shotgun.

If I'm the last human and have to survive? Um... probably a machete since it doesn't rely on ammo, but I'd really like a shotgun handy too.

3) Why do earphones get so messy and strangle themselves when left alone?

I hate cords!! They do, they have a mind of their own. Even when wrapped nicely they go off and tangle themselves when not in use. My fav pair for travel is those Sony ear buds. Not the best sound of headphones I own (another fav topic of mine), but I love the little cord winder storage case.

Probably Jaws. It's brilliant and I love it but it scares the heck out of me.

Errr... I don't really find movies to be that scary. Sure, they can use music and sounds to make anyone jump but to me, it just seems like they're so predictable these days. For that same reason, I'm normally not interested in horror movies.

What was your first job?

During my summers off from college, I worked with my Dad at a print shop that did letterpress and offset printing. It was kinda cool as I got to learn how to run all the presses and such. Also since I was into photography and had a darkroom at the time, I took over and ran the darkroom and copy camera, make ready and plate making for the offset presses.

I worked at a concessions stand at Milwaukee County Stadium grilling sausages, pouring beer and soda and serving all sorts of junk food during Milwaukee Brewers baseball games. Did that for 5 years. Learned a lot, worked really hard and learned the value of staying in college so I wouldn't have to work there forever.

My first job was just before I went to college, working in a grocery store as a cashier and generally worked my way up the ranks to manager until I left that to do what I do now. 		2013-10-20 05:12:00

How and when did you find out about LittleBigPlanet?

TheCountessZ and I went shopping for an HD tv and decided that we really wanted to play BluRay's. Well.. one of the best rated and most cost effective players at the time was a PS3. While we were at it we figured... "Hey.. it plays games" and I did a bit of research on some of the best games for the PS3. Little Big Planet was the top rated game at the time and we snagged it. That was November 2008 right when it first came out. We became so addicted that for Thanksgiving, we decided to stay home and just play LBP. We got carry out from an Italian place the day before and warmed it up for our dinner. lol

I was bored of playing Oblivion for over a year and had bought Mirror's Edge. I got stuck in the ship section and was getting really frustrated so I decided to go online to look for a new game to buy. I ended up finding videos of these guys who made a very crude airplane takes out buildings level (which sort of made me sick) but I thought the little knit guy was cute so I dug a little deeper and thought, ya, I like platformers. I'll give it a try. I had zero clue it had a create mode or what it was about really. Hard to believe now but yep, I fell for a cute stuffed doll and the rest is history.

I can't actually recall the precise moment that I found out about LittleBigPlanet. All I know is that I grew up loving both platforming games and games that allowed you to create your own content. Similarly I've always enjoyed persistant games that continually update with new content.

When I heard prior to its release that LittleBigPlanet would allow an entire community of creators to create levels and develop a never-ending world of new places to explore and new adventures to be had, I just knew that I had to pick up a copy on day one.

So after picking up my copy and arriving in my Pod for the first-ever time, I put on my Week 1 T-Shirt and set course for the first of many adventures on LittleBigPlanet! 		2013-10-21 21:39:00
