Pokemon Models

Archive: 14 posts

Getting sick of all the online freezing and failing to connect to the game servers, so I decided to dip into create mode for a couple of hours and decided to start making Pokemon. I'll more than likely make a Pokemon-themed level with them. Thoughts?2012-11-14 01:22:00

Woops, sorry! I read "object showcase" and thought this would be the perfect sub-forum for my picture. Thanks for the feedback, though! I'll be sure to post my track in the proper sub-forum once the time comes.

Wow, these look great. I was expecting cardboard cut-outs, but you made them in 3D! Would love to see this become a level.2012-11-14 04:22:00

Honestly, I wouldn't have made any of these if they were cardboard cutouts. Zubat is the closest to a 2D figure, but I figured he would look more acceptable the way he is as opposed to being forced into 3D having awkward, forced curves in every direction. I intend to implement these into a racing track once I feel I have enough Pokemon to make it a satisfying Pokemon-themed level.

Those are really good. How'd you get those spherical shapes?2012-11-14 14:53:00

Those are really good. How'd you get those spherical shapes?

At first, I attempted to create those shapes by copying/pasting a simple circle and just rotate-paste it in the same spot, but that did not look at all what I imagined. Instead, I used in-game balls for them and used, what I felt was, the appropriate ball for each Pokemon that required a ball.

Magnemite/Magneton-Pinball
Diglett/Dugtrio-Yarn Ball

Yarn ball had an oval shape, but it was not long enough for Diglett/Dugtrio's appearance, so I stickered them brown and placed multiple yarn balls in a vertical manner. Despite the fact that Diglett was the first one I created, it was actually the simplest out of them all to make.

Made a couple more. I'll probably get into more detail with Magikarp.

Thank you, Hallm3! I haven't even touched the tools and gadgets yet. I'll get to them once I've finished every Pokemon needed for the level I have in store. However, I am currently drifting off to other models. Right now, I'm making Kirby in a few of his different forms. Not for a level or anything, just for fun!2012-11-19 04:05:00
