Making an LoZ-ish RPG

Right now, Im trying to make an LBP RPG based on 3D dot game heroes/Legend of Zelda and right now I can make character jump up to any back layer material BUT after 'jumping'(pressing X causes sequencer to make character go to middle layer then back to back layer), my character just keeps floating....Does anyone have any idea of how I can make character go back down after 'jumping' off the 1st layer. its a bug i think in the layer mover that makes the game think your gravity has been twekaed.
maybe stretch the sequencer a bit so that the layer mover isnt touching the end, cause this sometimes makes things stay on.

I'm a little confused on what you are asking. It sounds like you are having problems with your jumping for a top down level?

If you are having the character jump up one layer, just use in out movers to have them move up one layer, then reactivate the fall back down in out mover after a half a second or so. I always attach the falling mover to an oscillator so that I know my character will always be on the floor.

If I misunderstood, which is completely possible, just ask again and I'll try to answer better.

Here is a picture of the jump microchip I made for my topdown levels.

I have a counter (target count at one). It's connected to a timer with a target time of .2 seconds. The timer's output is connected to the timer's reset and the counter's reset. I connected the counter's output to a in/out mover (the one that makes the "jump" action). Once I did that i connected the counter's output to a NOT gate with is connected to the in/out mover that keeps the character from floating.

Ok, so I used your jump chip and it works quite good but my problem still remains. Maybe I didnt explain too well. Imma include pictures to show what my problem is. Also, the character im using takes up two layers.

Jumping works fine as seen here
(Character is now occupying 2nd and 3rd layer then after jumping, character goes 1st and 2nd layer)

Now here begins the problem, after jumping on a platform(Now the character is occupying the 1st layer and 2nd layer)
After jumping the character is left 'floating'

Yeah, jumping is fixed but the problem Im facing still exists. I think my explaination was kinda lacking so now I included pictures, hopefully this is clearer.
