The Majestic Milk Machine

Archive: 18 posts

Here's a new level I made:

Link! (https://karting.lbp.me/v/13df)

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to show you guys pictures of it, but you can see a small part of the level on the little level icon. I assure you it's fun- I made dozens of tracks in modnation racers and although it's my first track in LBPK, I'm very proud of it. It includes quite a few jumps, some electrocuting cows, two really intricate shortcuts (Both involving helicopters!) and a special weapon I made using rainbows and milk cartons.

Anyway. Check it out and tell me what you think!

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to show you guys pictures of itGo into the 'stickers and decorations' section of your popit and find the photos you have taken. Highlight a photo and press [square], then select 'upload'. Bingo, the photo will now appear on your karting.lbp.me page. From there you can link to them and display those images here. 2012-11-13 19:35:00

but how do you get it show, because on my post it showed the pictures link instead of the pic, many thanks !! Just right click on the picture on karting.lbp.me and select 'copy image location'. Depending on what browser you are using this may be called something different. All you're looking to do is copy the URL of the image itself.

Once you have that, come here and paste the URL into a post. Use img tags so that the code looks like http://www.placewhereyourpictureis.com/yourpicture.jpg and presto, image in your post. For example, the code for this:

https://lbpk-production.s3.amazonaws.com/player_creations/51329/data.jpg

...looks like this:

https://lbpk-production.s3.amazonaws.com/player_creations/51329/data.jpg

Hopefully that makes sense.

Level looks awesome, got it qued. My only question is how you and the rest of the community can create a tracked level so fast when this game just came out and it takes me around 3-4 months on LBP2. Is there something I should know2012-11-15 18:13:00

It's much easier to create in LBP Karting I think. I was never even able to put together a full level in LBP 2.
That, and I've had a lot of experience with a really similar creator in Modnation, which I spent a LOT of time with. When I got LBP Karting, the track creator seemed somewhat familiar and it didn't take me long to learn how to use it. That, and I had about eight hours of free time because I had gotten pretty sick just after getting the game.

I just got the chance to play this level and I really like it I like how you built the whole thing around a theme and it was fun seeing the set pieces that went with that theme. I am especially happy with the shortcut that you have in the level with the button press --> Helicopter lifting box --> jump pad for secret path.

Excellent job and congrats on the Team Pick!

Great job on this level. The obstacles, weapons, and track designs are exhilarating. The only gripe is that the curves of the shortcuts are hard to carefully turn, but the rest is well made.
VISUALS: 5/5
SOUND: 5/5
GAMEPLAY: 4/5

Yeah, I agree with you the turns were a little bit too quick. I figured it balanced things out enough because the shortcuts in there were pretty significantly shorter than going on the actual track... My next creation, I'll balance that all out. Thank you guys for playing it, It's an honor to have it as a team pick!2012-11-22 16:29:00

Not surprisingly, this level rocks. I got a chance to play with 2 others online and everything from the visuals to the unique powerups were ever so awesome. If I didn't know better, I would of swear I was playing a story mode. I liked the milk cartons shooting and the cows. Guess you cant have milk without the cows. I'll be sure to replay this again to get the high score. Well done man2012-11-23 19:17:00

Milk theme was fun and original. The helicopter short cuts are cool - but I felt the midair bit of track was a little too static, would it be possible to make it bob around a bit to make it feel like it was really hanging from a chopper? I liked the tricky borderless shortcuts, and the way you could see one shortcut from another.2012-11-24 06:41:00

I didn't even consider that idea, actually. I'm not sure how you could go about doing that, but looking at how much this game has to offer, there's gotta be a way. I'll see if I can figure it out in the coming months.2012-11-24 17:30:00
