On another forum I frequent, we have something called user tagging. It's a handy way of bringing something to someone's attention. So basically, someone might have a question in the help section. I could respond and say: "I believe you do this and that, and connect this thing to that thing. @username* had a great tutorial on this, I'm sure he/she/it could help you with this" "username" would then get a notification, and upon clicking said notification it would take them directly to the post in question. *The @username command is basically a shortcut for username Thoughts?

@username is the how people that don't know multiquote add replies to extra people.

Another thing it does it that it also notifies you when you've been quoted - I don't know if there's an option to do that here, but it's also very handy. Sometimes you can reply in a thread and completely forget about it, so that if someone does quote you, you might miss it.
