Custom HUD for speedometer

Archive: 3 posts

Well as the title says I'm making a speedometer for my level. It's not necessary at all but I really want it in there. I have my HUD dial set up. I have reciever labeled blue and named speed which is hooked up to my HUD tweaker. All of this is set up on a micro chip. Then I have a seperate microchip on the same spawn point. I'm assuming this is where I'm messed up. I have a speed sensor hooked up to a threshold sensor which then connects to a transmitter. The transmitter is named accordingly. I'm not sure what to set the speed sensor to so I left it at the default speed (41 I think). I'm assuming this would send out a signal percentage and make the speedometer work but it doesn't do anything. I've tried dozens of different variations and ideas. Can anyone help?2012-11-12 10:02:00

It's hard without exact details. I can tell you it's not impossible (at least, it worked in the beta). But that's not much help.

Any particular reason you have them on separate chips with a transmitter? Try connecting them directly through wire, no Threshold, see if that works.

Lmao wow that was easy!! The tutorial said it had to be hooked up to a reciever so I assumed that it had to receive a signal strength from a transmitter. I also was using old logic from lbp2 that all chips and tools have a constant signal strength unless you set/hooked it up a certain way. All I had to do is hook up the speed sensor to the HUD tweaker and set the top speed on the speed sensor lol. I can't believe I didn't think of that. Thanks man
