I'll be sure to give it a look, if you are looking for detailed feedback be sure to give some other people's levels a quick play and let them know what you think. It helps then get better, and it helps you become more thoughtful about your own work. so everybody wins! | 2012-11-12 07:36:00 Author: Mr_Fusion Posts: 1799 |

This is a nice intro to something, the atmosphere and camera work really well together, but as you mention it is rather short and not much happens in the parts where you have control. taking the first street zombie section as an example, you are required to just jump over him and the climb up onto the crate. When compared to the first cutscene of taking on two zombies it is a anticlimactic. If you had it so the player had to jump over the zombie and grab onto some scaffolding to try and pull down a ramp to continue it would be a more interesting section, you could even have it so the collapsing scaffolding squashes the zombie maybe. It's not about making your level longer just packing more into the playable sections, the running section is then next example, you are never in any real danger, you just need to hold right. Some low fences or other things to avoid, jump or climb would slip a bit more excitement into the scene. It doesn't need to be anything extreme though. And the final part at the scoreboard could be added to in the same way with something as simple as a single line like 'Phew! Looks like I'm safe for now... but I wonder what happened to my parents/friend/girl/dog/the city" Some sort of line that allows you to expand and explore your design and story | 2012-11-16 22:10:00 Author: Mr_Fusion Posts: 1799 |
