I tried three times to finish the level, but I just couldn't. The level looked gorgeous, but many of the gameplay elements seemed poorly done. There were a couple jumps that were just blind, and each time I found myself jumping into spikes or hitting plasma, and it didn't seem like my fault. There were also several hanging bees that if you didn't get the fist time over were impossible to get past as they sunk into the gas.

I would move the horrible gas down a bit as well, it detracted from the otherwise great look of the level where it was.

The part I was able to complete was really fun, but if nothing else change the checkpoints to infinite so people can finish it. Edit: I played before your update.

It's clear that you put a lot of time into it, and I definitely think that it's a good level. Nice work!

AH- yes- thank you. That is why feedback is necessary.
I've noticed that in some community levels things seem impossible to everyone but the creator because they've played it many times and know the tricks to it.
I changed it the check points to infinite after I uploaded it and noticed that no one could complete it.
As for the bees- I'll change it so the wenches descend at a slower rate- all except the first ones because of the prize bubbles. I'm assuming that's also where the "blind spikes" are located- the ones in part two are visible.... unless you rush through it.
I was mostly just experimenting with the tools and seeing what I could do with the tools.

Edit: Updated- I also removed some of the foliage that might have been obstructing 2-3 spikes in part two. Should play smoothly now- thanks.

This level looks really good. You obviously know how to make a very eye pleasing level. The problem I had was with the gameplay, the same as Chris. There were a quite a few times I died that I would call "cheap deaths". That is not saying you did not put time and effort in playtesting this. It played really good.

Like you mentioned, sometimes when a creator play tests their levels they begin to know all the patterns and can usually play the level blindfolded. Every creator should be able to get the high score on their own level because of this. Not that they should though.

Some better camera angles would help. And there is a few times where your scenery in the front obstructed my view.

This is fantastic for a first level though.

I rated it up.

Good job.

If you get a chance play my new level called Los Alamos.

Here is the link. http://vita.lbp.me/v/e3rb-

Thanks!

Ah thank you.
I actually played both of your levels back when they were first uploaded.
They felt more like a LBP level than mine- which is what I'm working on....

Okay, I played the level and thought it looked really nice. The first level had some fun gameplay (though as others have said, some jumps felt cheap). I got to the second part and probably 3/4 through when I quit because I could not see anything. The gameplay felt like it would be relatively easy but it was just too hard to see everything with the darkness. That was my main complaint. Perhaps make the bug light up a little bit more or make the plasma lifters harder to hit the plasma since that part was the hardest.
(PS: I have no levels so there't no need for F4F for me)

hi there!

I got to try it the other day, and I have to say that I really like ur way of design, its look really beutiful, and the creatures really cool, that part have been great.

But I have to say as well that Im agree what mostly of the people is saying... the game is too hard. I try for a while to finish, but in one point I got desesperate, and i have to quit; there is this animals pinks, and they are moving up and down and they are all electics... it was too much i think. One advice in here: they have to move slowly or less of this animals. And! the check point should be after the jump beucase there, ur have to move the light, then jump and then move the light again, and its easy but take some second that i have to repeat so many times becuase the next part was really hard... so i just get bored to repeat the same and i quit. If the checkpoint is just after, i would probably get use to the moving animals electricals and pass it... but i couldnt.

Then, another bug, when the light that you have to bring with you, if you die, the light wont appear again until u move, and that is really confuising, because I didnt know whats happend the first time, it was just everything dark and i thought the game freeze.

ANd the last, everything beauitul, and many details in the front, and I think is good, but some of them make that u cant see the gass, or spikes, so i just die cos i coudnt see anything. If u move some decorations, and pu some ligst, red lights for example, in the danger place, to make it more clear, i think would be better.

Defitly its a good level, but would be excelent if make it easier and clearer.

Im new in LBP so, dont take it so serius my advices , i still have a LOT to lern . There were some stuff that i really like, for example, the lights that u have to move at the same time than playing... but sometime was too much, the light , the jump, the enemies... i coudnt control all! hehe.

Hey catsand! Good to see you're already publishing! I've got here a little review of mine. With so many reviews already, hope it still helps

PRESENTATION

Ok, there's much that could improve in your level thread. Let me give you a hand.
1)Add many many many pictures. How can you do this?
A)Go play your level, and then open your popit in an specially fancy section of it. Use the sticker option, and then select the camera. After you finish the level, you should get at least 3 pics of it. Then go to the photos -also stored in your popit at one of the last sections of the sticker zone- and press square. Select to Upload the photo. Ater you've got all of your photos uploaded, go to vita.lbp.me and go to your profile. There you can see your pictures. Click on them again and again until you go to a webpage where the only thing you can see is the picture. Copy the web address and then go back to your thread. In there, write this: Paste your code here, and repeat for every photo.
And paste all your photos. This will attract much more people.

B)Another way that is slightly more complicated must be done when the pics are far too dark to be visible. For some reason, dark-lighted levels don't allow good pics. In this case, you need to take a screenshot from your Vita with the PSbutton and the Start button pressed at the same time. Then you can connect your Vita to the computer and export the desired photos. Come back to your thread, and use the "Image" button to upload some pictures. Ta-da!

2)The level badge (Hope you're not tired already jaja!)
Even though the name is perfect your level badge has much to improve. How can you do an efficient one?
Even though there is no exact method, I should reccomend you to select what's the most representative thing in your level. For example, in my Autumn themed level, I started by putting a mapple leave, and then gradually started to put in things at the sides that were fitting. If you want to see the result, you can quickly see this level's badge: http://lbp.me/v/frv0dn
Another way to do it is the classical method of making a color-circumference round the badge, and then putting a simple yet great and representative pic of what your level is about. There are plenty of great creators who also prefer this kind of badges. Jeje, I tried to make one, if you want to see the result just see my signature

LEVEL

I was kinda dissappointed nobody seemed to finish the level. I'll do my best to complete it, though!

Man, I must say I'm absolutely impressed. I should be ashamaed my first ever LBP level doesn't even resemble to the incredible amount of work this thing has. I must tell you you've got plenty of talent, so don't give up! This deserves much more plays than the P4P levels in the Cool Pages.

One of the principal problems I faced in the level was that there should be more indicators of what to do next. Adding stuff like arrows to select what you should grab, where to proceed would have been excellent.
The visuals were gorgeous. Some of the painted trees looked a bit odd, but everything seemed just fine to me.
The part were everything goes dark gave me headaches. Specially the part with the weird thing that went up and down and crashes with a spiky roof. It took me -and I'm sure about it- over 40 tries to get past that. The thing is, it feels challenging in the bad way, and you should always avoid that. Try slowing that sequence down a bit.
Jeje, it seems I was the only one capable of finishing this thing.

THE GRADES

Gameplay 3/5 It was fun and really original, but it still needs much polish.
Graphics 4/5 I am impressed! Usually newbies get a 1/5 in this aspect. Excellent!
Sounds 4/5 The scary sounds for the monsters and the music were very aproppiate. Great job!

If you can do some F4F for me, can you check out this level of mine?

Here's the link to the lbpcentral post which contains also the link to the level. Also, you can take that as an example of a picture-and-other-stuff filled thread https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=75677-LBLV1-Tilt-Matters

Thanks for the feedback guys, but I'm afraid the damage has been done.
I adjusted the rate at which the "diglett"-esque guys pop out- up to 4 seconds from 3 and added a note informing players of what to do if they perish.
I was also wondering how people uploaded the photos onto their levels.....I just did it- so thanks- but the photos look awful. :|

Your levels were already on my queue, I've just been working on my (hopefully) improved level. I'll level some feedback in their threads as soon as I play them.

Remember that too dark pics can be improved if you use the screenshot function of the Vita! I had to do it for my level, here an example:
