This would be better :)

You know how every time you get items from peoples levels then if you have to much stuff you have to go and delete items so the dumb thing will stop popping up saying you need to delete something. Well I think they should add something like you can turn it off so you don't get the items if you don't want them. Then you don't have to worry about trying avoid items that you don't want. Most of the items are all the same most of the time. Like the trophies. Well write back and tell me what you think. Hope that this wasn't too confusing.2009-01-15 09:46:00

This wouldn't work for people who actually want to keep some of the prizes they've picked up. IMO community prizes shouldn't be automatically downloaded and saved locally by everyone who picks them up, I think they should simply appear in the menu as a link and be downloaded when we actually try to access them.

Ah, that makes more sense
I still think we shouldn't have to do this in the first place unless we actually want to clean up the popit.

Good idea!

I think that at the end of each level, a list of all the items you unlocked would show up, and from there you can select which ones that you DO want to keep (Or just press Keep All if you're lazy) or press Don't Keep Anything and then that would be easy and teh BETST

This would be the best solution (the delete all is also a good one, the best would be to have both ), but in the meantime, while we wait for mm to fix it this would be very easy to do yourself. just make some cool looking "prizebubbles with a sensor switch which activates (half of) a permanent AND switch in the end. when you reach the end there will be a room with one contraption for each "prizebubble" which will release a real prizebubble if you have press a button and have found the right bubble.

I think every single time you go to pick up a prize bubble a "ding" sound should happen, a message box should pop up and you should be asked "Hey, do you want this one too?". There should be an "Ok" and a "Cancel" button with a little x in the upper right and side of the box. You then need to position a little arrow pointer over the selection you wish and click the appropriate button.

If you click the wrong thing, or don't have your cursor positioned properly on one of the selections, another box should pop up saying "You have performed an illegal operation - do you wish to report this to Sony?"

Below this box there should be a "Yes" button and a "Details" button. If you click the details, it should show the internal call stack leading up to the issue.

Now, if you don't want to go through all this, there could be a special program from Norton called "Prize Bubble Patch" which automatically handles this entire process and pops up a message instead that says "An unauthorized prize bubble is attempting to enter your system. Do you wish to allow the entry of this prize bubble?"

This Norton utility could also have a special configuration manager in which you can determine specific authors for which you wish to allow prize bubble collection. For instance, you could "allow" a specific author who has really useful prize bubbles, but for protection you could disallow any prize bubbles from this author which didn't originate with a specific IP address.

Got it?

Nah, it would be better if you would get a query at the end of a level, looking like the "copy multiple" screens of the XMB. This way you could tack what you wanted to keep while not intruding on the level itself. Your proposal would kill the immersion quite a bit 2009-02-02 11:50:00

I agree with nearly all of the ideas above. Mostly the download whenever one. And like what the others said, maybe a checklist at the end of the level.2009-02-02 12:13:00

Yeah, I'd rather it asked me when I got to the end of the level, or even just gave me something in the pause menu to delete items (as opposed to having to go into create mode to get rid of them).

Asking me every time I got an item would really drag. It's already annoying enough when the message pops up when I get an invite or join request in the middle of a tricky jump, it'd drive me nuts having a similar message pop up every time I get a prize bubble.

Haha sorry, I was getting mixed up between what you said and what the OP said. They both ended up merged into one post in my mind.

I'm going delusional with cabin fever, what with this snow, but any other day I'm sharp as a tack with sarcasm! That's my excuse anyway.

Having it at the end is the best option. I hate going into create mode to search for these community objects to delete, only to find that it is un-named.2009-02-04 11:01:00
