Hey all! Just a couple basic questions from an early BETA player who has not kept up with this game at all (release even totally caught me by surprise). The Create mode was very fussy in the BETA and terrain modeling was a massive chore that never seemed to work right, has this been worked on/ removed now that the game is out? If you can still modify the terrain, are you able to tunnel through any raised terrain mountains when creating tracks? Has this been noted as a future feature? Finally, can you now easily edit the backdrop so you can do, for example, desert or snow backdrops to lay your track on? Thanks so much to anyone who helps!

I didn't have any problems with terrain creation in the beta, so I can't say if that's solved. I've only spent a few hours but I don't think you can tunnel through terrain now. You can choose from a large selection of backgrounds, including a desert and an empty sky, and tweak them for day, dusk or night, plus a bunch of other filters.

I don't think that create has gotten any easier, however, I think that if you spend a decent amount of time (maybe ~10 hours) with it then it gets pretty easy just like LBP did. I know a lot of people replied to complaints about create being difficult with comments about how LBP had a learning curve too, and I really have to agree with that. It took me many, many hours to get my head wrapped around what I could and couldn't do with LBP, and the same goes for Karting.

LOL! I love that video. If you don't have 10 hours to create then why are you bothering to create? How long does it take you to make a level in LBP? Maybe I just spend way too long

Time spent in Create mode was far too much in LBP 1 and 2, but in a good way. During BETA it was painful to modify terrain, everything else was more or less LBP 2 in 3D so that came naturally. Sucks to hear it's more or less the same, on top of not being able to tunnel, looks like I'll be skipping this one. Thanks for the help.
