Help in create mode

Archive: 5 posts

Hey everyone, I have LPB PSP- first and so far only LBP I've played. I got it when it came out, finished story mode, got all the items, etc. I never really used create mode. I've heard some say that it's really glitchy and not very fun when compared to LPB 1 for PS3- however, since I never played that, I cannot compare.

Anyway, I was just wondering if certain features were available in the PSP's create mode, and how to use them. I seem to be having a bit of a hard time getting exactly what I want.

1) Is it possible to make a material shape the exact same shape as a sticker somehow? In the story mode levels, it seems they accomplished this. The only way I can see to re-shape material objects is to... use the corner editor, which really is inconvenient and an annoying way to do it. Not to mention, the sticker doesn't show when using the corner editor.

2) The in-game video tutorials claim that you can rotate/scale material shapes before you place them (the same way you can rotate/scale stickers), but I can't seem to do it. Was this a mistake that they made?

3) Is there anything I should know in terms of glitches and whatnot? I remember hearing nasty ones where, after creating levels, the game data corrupted.

Additional info: I can't connect online with LPB PSP, it says I don't have enough memory stick data to make an online account. =( So I can't download/send anyone levels or whatever.

Irony hits me like a train, since LBP PSP has the most convenient corner editor of all LBP's (Appart from LBPV.)
Either way, that's the way to do it. Practise a bit and you'll see that it's quite easy.

Make sure you don't use the brush, it won't work that way. (Brush is the mode with the grid.)

I'll just leave this here for you. Link (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=42450-PSP-Create-for-Dummies-%26%2310004%3B)

That's a shame, try getting rid of data you don't need? The community is not far from completely dying but there are some freaking awesome levels made, which make the Story Levels look like noob creations. (Although they're so awesome <3 Story Mode)

Hope that helps. C:

Hope that helps. C:For #1, it's hard to make it the shape of the sticker when the sticker doesn't show up in corner edit mode. -.- Is there a way to make it the shape of the sticker easier? How do I use corner edit mode efficiently?

For #2, I was using the shapes, not the brush, and it still didn't work. = But I'll try again.

I only have 2 other PSP games, I didn't think they took up that much data. But I guess they do. = Either that or it's another glitch. I don't feel like getting another PSP card if they're expensive, especially just for a few online levels.

Thank you for the help.

1 - Stickers are small. You should put a huge almost screen filling piece of material, then put a sticker on really big, use Corner edit, then resize it down.

2 - I think you can use the L button and the stick to do that.

3 - Yes, glitches. Sometimes your level can corrupt, and it won't load/loads for ever. I always do this to stop corrupted levels:

Saving the level, then going back to menu (and not saving it while going back to menu)
Play test the level.
If play testing worked, you should copy the level (so that when your level IS corrupt, you always have a backup)
