Using a ramp
Archive: 7 posts
I'm creating a track and everytime I use a bounce pad or ramp when you land it says your off the track and resets you right where you landed. I can't figure out why it keeps doing this. I looked at the tutorials over and over but can't find anything about it. Am I missing something simple? And yes it does go with the track. I also tried using bread crumbs but it didn't do a thing. | 2012-11-07 21:53:00 Author: Dfw86 Posts: 138 |
Hmmm, I had that problem to but it shouldnt be doing that only if your creating a custom object it would have to be aligned with the roller piece track | 2012-11-07 22:13:00 Author: Unknown User |
It's not a custom piece. All I did was make a straight road then cut it out and added the ramp. | 2012-11-07 22:39:00 Author: Dfw86 Posts: 138 |
Just a theory, Are you testing it in drive mode or play mode, Try it in play mode and see if it still happens to you or the bots | 2012-11-07 22:58:00 Author: JKthree Posts: 1125 |
Ah yes, this problem sounds familiar. I'm not on my PS3 right now so I can't give you the exact answer, but it goes something like this. Because you have made a cut in your track, the game thinks you have left it when you try to jump over the gap. There should be an "invisible" track material that you can paint with which tells the game basically "Even though there isn't a track here, it's ok for the player to go through this area." Breadcrumbs do kind of the same thing. Hopefully this makes sense, or at least gets you headed down the correct path to fixing your issue. | 2012-11-07 23:00:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |

Thanks a lot lol I thought that was used for something else and I didn't see a difference at first. I had to use that and cut the track to get it to work. Thanks man | 2012-11-07 23:42:00 Author: Dfw86 Posts: 138 |
