Does anyone know how or why you get a star?? I got one at the final level of the first planet but I didn't see any notice on how or why I got it. I searched the game and online but can't find anything. I thought it might be like aceing a level but I I died several times so I'm not sure what it is. Thanks.

Yeah its 100% I learned that the hard way It was the first Monster Island track i found out. I spent hours in frustration going through the first world on easy trying to beat each course in 1st without getting hit.
