So I just delivered my speech for English at school, and it went pretty well. I got the whole class laughing a couple times, and my speech was one of the few that wasn't: Boring... Ignored by everybody... About computers in general. Somebody wrote a speech about How Starcraft changed the world, someone else wrote about Gangnam Style, and somebody wrote a pretty long one about... Toilets. Yes. He actually wrote about how to use a toilet. You'd think it would have been funny, but nobody really listened. It wasn't funny, and it dragged on for ages. Anyway... my own speech topic was: 'If I could change one thing, I would lengthen the weekends'. So... speeches. I would love to hear about some of yours, my fellow LBPers.

A truly mind blowing speech (by me) uttered many a year ago was about boxes, typically ones of cardboard, t'would have brought a tear to Martin Luther King's eye.

Why do you guys get such cool speech topics? My English Speaking and Listening grade was decided by me explaining the difference between the subjects English Language and English Literature, during a presentation about how to do well in an exam. One about Gangnam Style or even toilets sounds fantastic.

Why do you guys get such cool speech topics? Any time I had to do a speech I didn't go. The thought of doing something like that makes me feel ill.

The thought of doing something like that makes me feel ill. True. But I recently gave a speech about Pez. Ya know those lil' sweet dispensers? The History of Pez. Oh yes. ANd next week I have to do a debate on why CCTV shouldn't be used in toilets.... This could be funny....

Any time I had to do a speech I didn't go. The thought of doing something like that makes me feel ill. I never enjoyed doing it to class, the one I mentioned earlier was to one person (who just happened to walk in) with the teacher watching
