With regard to the would-you-rather, an important sub-option of offing yourself was overlooked: charging out and killing as many zombies as possible before your time is up! Go down in a blaze of glory! Even if you fail to properly dispose of yourself before turning, you'll have secured a net reduction in the undead horde. That's progress!

@Uncuddly: I had actually thought of that while recording but I chickened out because of the thought that I would be putting myself at much higher risk of being eaten alive. And as much fun as a zombie apocalypse sounds, being eaten alive isn't my cup of tea I mentioned your question to Mrs. Poo, because your answer is a pretty good one, and her response was that you weren't factoring in that you may infect multiple people, so you can't assume that the net result of not killing yourself will be justified simply because you take down more than one zombie. However, I like your idea, so when we happen to be bitten I'll join you in your quest to take down at least 2 zombies to make up for the fact that we are about to turn. And maybe we can also kill that darn wizard @GribbleGrunger: What a great idea! And, I am also a huge WeirdyBeardy fan I couldn't believe it when he joined us on the podcast because we've been wanting to get him on again for so long!

It might be possible that charging could make matters worse--maybe just stepping outside to begin the rampage would irrevocably compromise the security of whatever hiding place the other survivors have selected! Given a choice between biting the bullet or sharing the bullet with zombies, though, you have to give it a try. On the other hand, as long as we're teaming up, we could potentially knock each other's teeth out before we get started. Then, worst case, it's just two toothless zombies shuffling around trying to gum people!
