I recently captures a checkpoint to save all the decoration whatnot on it but now every time I place it via the "my items" menu it wont activate...is this a common problem?

thats what I mean, they wont activate when the player walks near, ive jumped all over them in fact - theyre double life checkpoints if that makes any difference....

Are you in create mode or play mode? They won't light up unless you go to play mode.

hmm that worked, sort of - but it made each new checkpoint as the first checkpoint to a level oh this isnt really important, tbh I was just curious as to why - ill just manually make my checkpoints

oh that's why... there's a difference between the first checkpoint and the other ones... 1st one is the "starting checkpoint" or w.e it's called, the rest are just "checkpoints" or "double life checkpoints".

oh no its not that, I already have my entrance in place, these are double life checkpoints im placing EDIT: Right I *think* it may be because the checkpoint im placing came from a different level were it WAS the first checkpoint - perhaps the 2 starting points are clashing?

You can only have one starting checkpoint. I'm not sure what the priority is for the different ones, but I suspect any additional starting points may be useless.

I just deleted all the checkpoints and started again, its working now...hmm how odd
