Welcome one and all to the latest, brand new, shiny episode of the Spotlight! We?ve got plenty for everyone from stunning artistic visuals and high adventure to great tunes and ingenious platforming! So as the nights begin to draw in, draw the curtains, light the fire, get out the cocoa and settle down with your favourite form of LBP and get stuck into these levels!

Speaking of different versions of LBP, it won?t have escaped your notice that LBP Karting is just around the corner and the Spotlight Crew is once again recruiting new members. So if you love Karting, playing tracks and arenas, and working on a team, then the Spotlight Crew might be exactly what you've been waiting for. Hope on over to this thread (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=34069-Community-Spotlight-Now-Hiring!&p=1053236&viewfull=1#post1053236) and read up on the details.

Last but by no means least we wanted to highlight the return of V0rtex?s awesome Spotlight Search Engine! It's back, fully up to date and looking better than ever. For those of you who don't know about it, the search engine is a nifty tool which allows you to search for all the levels ever spotlighted, whether LBP1, LBP2, PSP or VITA! So whether you?re looking for something in particular or want to be surprised with a list of randomly selected awesome levels to play, this is the perfect tool for the job. Work is being done on re-instating the search engine in the forum tabs somewhere but in the meantime you can find it using this link: spotlight.lbpcentral.com (http://spotlight.lbpcentral.com/). Once you?ve tried it, you?ll wonder how you managed without it!

In fact, some of you may remember Crasher360's series ?Acid Rooms? in its original format back on LBP. Well, let's just start by saying, it's had a major overhaul. This series is packed to the brim with hugely impressive animation, humourous voice acting, tricky gameplay and addictive tunes! http://i1.lbp.me/img/bl/841978d238aa5c9e184598fd62f7fc6c111bbfc6.pngBlack Carbon CityElektroDJWelcome to Black Carbon City! The metropolis of the new industrialization. This city is full of hightechnology and amazing tower builings. Discover the town of the latest technology and be careful not to fall from the sky. [Updated] --- Genre:_Silhouette_Sci-Fi_Platformer Player:_1-4_Players (1P_recommended)The dramatic skylines of Black Carbon City will take your breath away. You have arrived in a futuristic urban dystopia with towering buildings silhouetted against grey skies; perilous walkways high above the ground; and a maze of glowing tubes, pipes and generators. The drama is heightened by the high contrast colour palette of black and grey splashed with vivid orange and electric white. Your journey through this high-tech cityscape will have you dodging rocket ships and laser-fire and leaping from one building to the next, hitching a ride where you can. ElektroDJ has created a buzzing, sinister metropolis that?s exciting to explore and whose stunning visuals will sweep you off your feet.Wow! This is one of those levels that will take you by surprise. As i took my first glance around, it felt like I was in the movie Blade Runner or some other CyberPunk adventure. The visuals here are really neat as is the gameplay. There are quite a few unique contraptions to propel you further in the level and the flipside of that is, there are also several unique obstacles in place to impede your progress. No time to waste, buy your ticket to Black Carbon City today!

http://id.lbp.me/img/bl/a9d29426e5b615b6ac0405a33d80f622856e13ef.pngFJ - Vol. 5Festerd_JesterMy 5th gallery! Electro and others (Chillout, Drum and Bass etc) There are 17 Songs - 14 Prizes - 3 Collaboration pieces with Velvet--Audio Special thank you to Velvet--Audio and links_r_us Much appreciated! NOTE - Please do not rush through multi selecting songs. It helps to trigger the audio-freezing bug associated with music galleries. I'm so thrilled to see yet another fantastic music hub from Fester D ? this guy has a knack for ridiculously catchy tuneage, my favourite being ?Indestructible?, a fast paced tune which makes me think of the old racers I used to love so much. The hub itself is pretty nifty too ? with neat but visually interested layout, it'll sit nicely on your tv whilst you listen and enjoy the music, probably whilst doing other things like... oh, I don't know, writing spotlight comments or doing the dishes. Just me? Oh well, check it out anyway!
Another awesome gallery from Festerd_Jester! It's altogether a class act. From the great presentation and gorgeous, elaborate font to the music itself, there?s not a false note. And what music! The variety and range are impressive and it's all brilliantly polished, professional stuff. I've always associated Festerd_Jester with the pumping tracks that creators love to have accompanying their fast-paced platformers and so it was a genuine surprise and pleasure to discover a whole different dimension to his talent. I loved some of the more chilled out music in this gallery. Pure auditory pleasure!

http://ia.lbp.me/img/bl/3ba2bf374acef9a7561f9e395c09acefbd151232.pngOutbre ak: Twisted CorridorsTynz21Lost. You are lost in the darkness. And you are not alone... Explore the halls of a space craft taken over by the outbreak. CONTROLS: O - Pick up item/open door, R1 - Fire Weapon, L1 - Melee, Square - Reload. DISCLAIMER: This level contains horror elements and graphic violence. Not suitable for some children. Difficulty: Hard (Will probably take a few tries to complete)
Ok, I'll admit it, this level freaked me out, but in a very good way. The visuals are rock solid and the intricate designs were quite impressive. What I immediately loved about this level was the viewpoint. It's kind of a top-down isometric view but with more details. The sounds and lighting really do well to create a suspenseful atmosphere where I tensed up going around every corner. Jump into this thriller and battle creatures as you work to unravel a deadly mystery.I'm just going to start off here by saying: I am far from a coward. I love thrillers, adore horror movies, I'll jump at the chance to hop on a rollercoaster ride and feel my heart thump against my ribcage. This level is probably the first one I've seen in LBP which really makes me feel any real sort of fright at what's going on around me. First of all, the design of the level is flawless ? at no point did I ask the question ?What is that thing?? (Which would rather detract from the immersion somewhat). Instead, I found myself hunched over in front of the tv, listening out for the dreaded moaning of... whatever the monsters hunting you actually are. You are about to witness a truly superb creation here. Brace yourself.

http://i1.lbp.me/img/bl/b41c20384af2110248101beef81922898306e845.pngCotton and WoodsilmedrielRace your friends through this fast-paced, spiky platformer! 1-4 players. --- Finish the level and pick up a reliable versus checkpoint so you can control where people spawn in your versus level! --- Music by Festerd_JesterCotton and Wood, hmm, that has a nice gentle, almost fluffy sound to it, don't you think? Well it's a trap! This level has more spikes and fiendish mechanisms in it than you can shake a stick at and, believe me, before the end of this you will definitely want to a shake a stick at someone or something! Seriously, though, this is an awesome fast and challenging platformer with a host of cool and inventive obstacles. It has an almost claustrophobic feel to it as you wind your way through a series of tight corridors in which panels pop open to reveal a secret passage to the next obstacle of doom. In fact some of those transitions between obstacles are ingenious in themselves ? my favourite being those where you are hurled in an arc over serried ranks of spikes (did I mention this level has spikes in it?) and arrive at the other end miraculously unscathed. The visuals are clean and suit the level with their stripped back, focused feel. A fun and refreshing challenge ? bring a friend, a sense of humour and sewing kit for those inevitable holes in your burlap!
Now I love me a good fast paced platformer and I also like a good challenging level every now and then. Now combine those two elements and what you have here is a teeth gritter on steroids! As challenging as it was for me, I was smiling the entire time. Every new section brought out a "Wow! Look what he did there!" and "What? That is so cool!" The design is great and the gameplay is really fun, challenging, smooth and exhilarating all bundled into one neat little package.

http://i4.lbp.me/img/bl/904e1a16c2f283ec1516af7791eafe0eb277748c.pngA Journey Through Silhouette 2 - Glow (1P)TheNotorious-187Put aside the everyday world and come with us to a realm of imagination, the middle ground between light and shadow... Notorious Productions present Glow, the second leg of your epic journey. STRICTLY ONE PLAYER. (MUSIC BY VELVETAUDIO) special thanks to TENDON119 for the bot and S8N-M for honest feedback, testing and ideas. thanks to everyone who tested. hope you enjoy! GHOST_CREATORSInsert obligatory "whoa!" here. Dang. I think I've developed a bro crush on Spacemonkey. Seriously, I love this dude. Every level he produces just blows me away. With the first Journey through Silhouette, he blew my socks clean off and now with Glow, well I'm just in awe. This level is completely breathtaking and you'll probably catch yourself stopping numerous times to gawk at views. But a gorgeous environment is not all you'll find here, oh no, there is plenty of well rounded platforming on hand as well. TheNotorious-187 has done a fantastic job of incorporating smooth, balanced gameplay into an utterly graceful environment. I'll take Bio's obligatory 'whoa' and raise him a compulsory 'wowzers!' This is the bees knees of beautiful platforming right here. The gameplay is slick, addictive and intuitive, the player's avatar is flawlessly receptive, with natural feeling movements and abilities. And if you don't stop to breathe the air and gaze at the wonderous scenery... well, you'd better get your stitches checked, because you're obviously suffering from some strange sackboy virus. Play it

http://id.lbp.me/img/bl/e9d1bd2ad412604cbbd859983e732863c158ef3e.pngGap the Mindse-mi92Confusing platforming: Play it on your own risk! 1 Player only due to cams (If you play with more, only 1 player will be able to play, the others watch). Much thanks are going to UtopicDreamer for his bot and NK827 for his awesome music. Hold L1+R1 for 3 seconds to pop.
My mind is still spinning from playing this level. I didn?t know what had hit me. I lost all sense of which way I was going; whether up was down or down was up. It was wonderfully topsy-turvy, not to say mad - but in a good, Alice Through the Looking Glass, way! With ingenious use of cameras, attracto-gel and a rotating level, Semi has succeeded in turning the world on its head and creating a level where you will have to tear up all your instincts about which way to push the left analogue stick to progress. I didn?t think of it at the time but perhaps standing on my head would have helped! It's wonderfully clever, totally anarchic and a blast to play, even if like me you end up inching your way forward in places, afraid that a wrong move is going to send you head first into a set of spikes or a stream of boiling tea. Refreshing and brilliant in equal measure ? queue this level up and prepare to be bewildered, bamboozled and baffled! Get ready for a mind trip like no other! This level had me constantly wondering which way was truly up. You're walking across floors, up walls, on the ceilings and if that ain't enough, the whole room rotates around you! It's like walking through the mind of Lewis Carroll. Couple the insane gameplay mechanics with some good solid gameplay and you've got a pretty cool psychedelic experience going on here.

http://id.lbp.me/img/bl/e5d3b6c72fd3526059930309f4bfdc3b5b9e40ee.pngGrab That Cube LIVE!stryder12Yeah its that simple-- Grab the indicated cube and pop the button coordinated scores to build up the most points to win the game. If you are looking for a new feel, try messing around with the options for a different experience. Enjoy! Special thanks to Mastablastya and Lil Morta 7 for music and RottenRob for logic. Also like to thank xxgircreatorxx and skateboard king1 for testing. Here's the perfect example of a level where the fun factor multiplies to the power of players! ?Grab That Cube? is a deceivingly simple little level (Colour matching, combined with button matching) at a first glance, but the further in you get, and the more your special abilities (Like setting fire to your opponent's floor) start to stack up, the more you'll start falling over yourself laughing. You might as well throw away that strategy you worked out whilst you were reading the 'How to Play' ? because the rules simply won't apply any longer!Wheee! Some fun times to be had here, a simple premise that is easy to understand, but has a heck of a lot going on making it tricky to keep up, er... that makes sense, trust me. Grab some friendly sack buddies and jump in to this light hearted challenge of reflexes and timing. Power-ups and points, the way a challenge should be, especially if the power-ups really mess with your friends!

http://i7.lbp.me/img/bl/73734c59ccf68d0b1de8c4db5f965c776c32a230.png*Facto ry of Dreams* PART I - Fiery Furnace (1PLAYER)Fr0d0_FragginS79Mad Hopper's sheep have been stolen. Guess who is going to save the day by grappling his way through the dangers of the factory's furnace room? Grappling skills required. Best played alone, more sackies are welcome, but chances are you may end up having a bad time. There are also secrets to be found. Can you collect them all? Difficulty: Hard-ish, music by velvet--audioThis fast-paced platformer will have you swinging and bouncing through some great steampunk themed scenery as you attempt to rescue Mad Hopper?s sheep (though he has a shifty look about him I don't trust ? crocodile tears, if you ask me!). The gameplay is fluid, fast and fun and will give your grappling skills and reflexes a real workout. The backdrop with its yellow ochre sky, gorgeously curlicued landscape and steampunk contraptions has bags of style and the pi?ce de r?sistance is a huge mechanical...well, I won?t spoil the surprise. You?ll just have to play yourself to find out.A factory of dreams? More like a grappling fun-time factory! A factory of well placed and tricky timed swinging action awaits you as you race against the clock, with your own patience being the challenge. Waiting to perfectly timing the swings will pay off more that trying to rush, but it's all nicely balanced, fast reflexes will help keep that score high!

http://i3.lbp.me/img/bl/eb3767469f28003c04640607f279ef8b979d9141.png*Sacki e of Arabia* PART I - SackrabahFr0d0_FragginS79Rumours have been spreading about an ancient treasure buried deep in the Sackhara-desert. It's been told this artifact can decide the fate of humanity. It's up to you to find it before it falls into evil hands. Your quest starts in the city of Sackrabah from where you need to travel to the Sultan's palace where help awaits. There are also plenty of secret bubbles to be found. Can you collect them all? Difficulty: NormalTo explore the mysteries of Sackrabah is to be transported into another world ? a world of minarets, shimmering sand and nodding palms! It's all wonderfully realised and packed with details like the stall with its dishes mounded with spices that send out small puffs of coloured dust as you pass by. The scenery is spectacular too, with the 3D layer glitch being used to create gorgeous vistas of distant, undulating sands. The gameplay is woven seamlessly into this setting as you platform through the streets and over the rooftops, even bouncing on the heads of startled, turbaned figures as they meditate. The task is to find the secret bubbles cunningly hidden or placed tantalisingly out of reach and it makes for a great adventure which will test both your skills and ingenuity. This level really has it all: fantastic visuals, fun gameplay, humour, colour and atmosphere in spades! You know something, there really aren't enough of these kinds of levels around and there should be as it's an awesome theme. This level sort of reminds me of the old school Prince of Persia game in a way. The design is elegant with a hint of danger and the gameplay elements are just good ol straight forward platforming, just the way I like it. Run, jump, swing and bounce your way through this Mediterranean adventure and don't forget to look for the hidden extra point bubbles along the way.

Have you ever wanted to feel like a ninja, swinging around dodging rockets? Oh, just me...? Well... this level certainly lives up to the name 'Clutch'! As you desperately try to clear the round, while the timer ticks down and with... oh yeah, rockets chasing you! Mrsupersomputer certainly knows how to make a balanced survival game, as every time I died I knew it was down to my error rather than the game. Each round is filled with more and more points for you to collect, so the quest for top score is down to you!Grab your grapple hooks and safety gear, and get ready for some extreme air time, mrsupercomputer style. You have three minutes to grab as many blue pegs as possible, flying through the air, being chased by sackboy seeking guided missiles. The action is fast and the points will flow, once you find your groove. But don't take too long to find it, or the level will self destruct. A survival challenge like this doesn't come along very often, so fire this baby up, and see if you can come through, in the clutch.

SnakeOwl the level creating machine is back once again with Shadow Train! Shadow train is a delightful little platformer, jam packed with original gameplay. This level really showcases the power of the vita using a wide array of the vita hardware features. The dark tones and setting gives the level a theatrical feeling, which somewhat resembles the story mode of LittleBigPlanet Vita, but adds that classic SnakeOwl touch we all know and love. All aboard, for a creepy train ride into the abyss. Hallows will flank your every move, eager for you to slip up, as you try to get from one end of the Shadow Train to the other. Snakeowl's newest level, showcases some of the best touch mechanics I have played yet. Lot's of cool, touch based gameplay will keep you platforming over one clever obstacle after another. The gameplay shines in this but the art design will have you drooling on your vita if your not careful. So grab some napkins and keep your chin dry, but make sure you don't miss this one of a kind level from legendary creator SnakeOwl.

Great Spotlight. Congrats to all those selected... keep up the great work!

And a hearty thank you to the hard working spotlight crew, whose jobs are getting ever more complex (and fun, I think) with the release of the new LBP titles. You guys and gals are the salt of the earth!
(In case you're unfamiliar with how the Spotlight's are selected, this team plays every level that is posted in the Showcase threads, for every LBP title. Every ... single ... level ... That's an amazing, coordinated effort).

FYI: The Search Engine is updated.

Great spotlight once again folks! V0rtex is so right - this crew get an immense amount of work done - how they've kept it up so long is beyond me! But with every new LBP release the work gets all the more demanding exhausting no no no, rewarding and exciting of course!

Huge congratulations as always to every spotlighted and mentioned creator - and to all you hungry level players out there - In case you didn't already know... In case 97 episodes wasn't enough to show you - this here is the cr?me de la cr?me of Central's levels. Queue them, play them, enjoy them.

See you next time

Thanks guys for Spotlighting Glow, as i said in my other post, for it to even be put in the same bracket as these other great levels means a lot to me. it is appreciated!

I echo what has been said on here, you guys do an amazing service for the community, to play EVERY single level, and treat each one on its merit is quite incredible when you think about it. Give yourselfs a pat on the back for another successful spotlight. Keep up the great work!

Oh and bio, Bro crush hey....
