LBPK Hopes

I hope that in lbpk all good creators will get noticed and that lots of people will check the newest levels section and that people will yay a level if they like it instead of ignoring the yay button, and that if you heart someone's profile they will follow the person instead of never checking their earth again, and that there won't be a copy button and crappy levels won't get on the cool pages. | 2012-10-23 01:27:00 Author: Mdoodle22 Posts: 95 |
Haha, that sound like Utopia But it'd be great if "all good creators will get noticed and that lots of people will check the newest levels section and that people will yay a level if they like it " I look really forward to the release, i think it's going to awesome... especially the editor! I hope that the online-mode won't be as laggy as on the vita... and that the editor is comfortable to use and that it's as "limitless" as the ones in the normal LBPs... i guess that's a bit more difficult in a racing game. And the controls have to be good... On the whole i hope it's as amazing as i imgine it is XD | 2012-10-23 10:27:00 Author: Chup Posts: 95 |
I think we've seen enough releases in the franchise now to predict that there will be a lot of unappreciated creators in LBPK and behavior will probably trend toward trophy-earning spam and then stats-boosting spam. I won't mind if the online community is heavily and punitively moderated to discourage junk levels, but I also won't mind too much if it's not. My hope of hopes is that the create mode provides enough flexibility AND user friendliness to allow for everything that's already possible in LBP2 plus open racing. That may be the difference between Karting as an offshoot versus an evolution of the franchise. | 2012-10-30 09:49:00 Author: Unknown User |
I REALLY...hope that there is a lobby system like in MNR so I can have game night with friends and stuff...instead of sitting in the "non-popular" levels by myself like in the Beta | 2012-10-30 14:38:00 Author: MangoLove Posts: 7 |
I hope I won't have to play fifty poorly made Mario Kart levels before I find a good level for the spotlight.... Too much to ask? | 2012-10-30 16:12:00 Author: rialrees Posts: 1015 |
I hope it will be totally different from the beta. That would make it a masterpiece. | 2012-10-30 16:18:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |
I hope it will be totally different from the beta. That would make it a masterpiece. What was so wrong with the beta? i missed my chance to join it. From what i saw of the videos online it looks really complex and advanced... just the way i like it!! | 2012-10-30 18:01:00 Author: Arastoph Posts: 216 |

It was uncomfortable and inefficient. It wasn't terrible, just not what has come to be accepted as user-friendliness from the LBP series. | 2012-10-31 03:05:00 Author: koltonaugust Posts: 1382 |
Well that sucks.... | 2012-10-31 04:44:00 Author: ConanUltimate Posts: 104 |
Hey now, let's not jump to conclusions. It was a beta, and an early version, too. We'll have to see the final game before anyone can say anything definitive, but it has huge potential. IMHO the biggest problem with the beta was that it was too short. | 2012-10-31 12:56:00 Author: Rogar Posts: 2284 |
From what I've been seeing recently, I think I might buy this game for Christmas. I just think that I didn't play the beta enough to understand it. Plus I'm sure there are improvements. | 2012-11-06 02:29:00 Author: koltonaugust Posts: 1382 |
blender and 3ds max aren't exactly user friendly and can be very hard to get used to as far as 3d programs go. It is going to be a massive learning curve for most to get used to a 3D environment instead of 2D editing. Even if it is slightly uncomfortable i am looking forward to taking what i know of game design/ graphic design in 3D space to a whole new editor! | 2012-11-06 02:51:00 Author: Arastoph Posts: 216 |

The beta editor was pretty much a simplified blender editor designed for consoles with a bit of logic made out for you. The thing that makes blender easier is a mouse. The thing that makes LBP easier is textures are done for you, logic is done for you, and other stuff too. It's much easier to build a level than it is to build a game with blender/game engine because you have to make EVERYTHING in a game. Most of the stuff is done for you in LBP which is what makes it attractive to people. Personally i think creating in LBP would be so much faster with keyboard/mouse. I know that it would involve a bunch of programming to get it to work though. | 2012-11-06 03:41:00 Author: koltonaugust Posts: 1382 |
