Either you or the person you are trying to connect to probably has a Type 3 Connection, which can cause problems with peer to peer connections. This is how LBP connects players. What you want is NAT Type 2 (or an open connection). Generally, you can create an open connection on your router by putting one port in the DMZ, which stands for De-Militarized Zone. Then you have to set your connection settings so your Vita connects to that specific port. This is, of course, assuming that you don't already have a NAT Type 2 connection. Run a connection test and it will tell you.

I won't link to a specific article explaining how to do this in greater detail, but try out a few searches that include"NAT Type 2" "PS3" and the name of your router. I know this is for Vita, but the settings are nearly identical to PS3, for which there are more articles on the internet.

so you don't have this problem? because i have nat 2, and maybe some of the people that im trying to join have nat 3, but its impossible that everybody have nat3, this is pretty clear for me, the servers sucks, lag, loading times are slow, failed to join with people, this game is not going in the right direction

Also im pretty sure that is not my connection, i have really good connection, 30mbs, low ping...etc, and i can play without problem in lbp 1 and 2.

I feel your pain Neto.

The online part of this game is horrid.

I have no problems online with any game on vita except lbp.

Been trying to DL a level for twenty minutes now. Sitting beside my router with a full signal, and the level will not DL!!

And why is my autosave icon always spinning? 90% of the time that icon is in the bottom left corner of my vita.

I tried to change the level badge on a level last night and for 45 minutes the icon was spinning. I finally gave up, turned off the vita. I woke up this morning with the same badge, it never changed.

When creating, if you save your level, the icon will spin sometimes up to 20 minutes. And don't let your vita go to sleep before it finishes saving, or the game will crash, and you lose all your hard work.

This game crashed on my probably 20 times on me yesterday and I lost work, over and over. I had to redo the same section three times, before I finally got my level to save.

I have never been so disappointed with the online portion of a game in all my years of gaming.

I love lbp. I have been with this game from the first time I saw the trailer at e3 07.

But I am slowly becoming jaded with this version of lbp.

The whole appeal of lbp is playing and creating levels, and right now it is almost impossible.

I can't believe Sony has the nerve to charge $10 for an online pass to this game.

Edit -

@Comphermc - Thanks for trying to help buddy. You guy's at Tarsier have made a wonderful game. The story mode was one of the greatest experiences I have ever had in gaming. Offline this game rocks!! And I do not blame anyone from that studio for any of these problems.

The issue is the servers obviously. No one wants to admit that, but from what I have read on help topics, all over the web, this is clearly the problem.
