Directional Timers
Archive: 5 posts
So you guys know how if you run a signal through a directional timer, it increases its value, and once you remove the signal, it decreases in value? Well, for some dumb reason, if the timer isn't at 100% and is rising in value, it doesn't output any signal at all. You'd kinda expect it to give an analogue signal equal to the percentage the timer is at, but instead, it doesn't give any signal at all. Once it reaches 100%, it finally starts to put out a signal, and the output continues to send out an analogue signal until it reaches 0% again. For example, let's say the timer is tweaked so that it reaches 10 seconds. If the timer is at 5 seconds, you'd expect it to give an output of 50%. But instead, there is no signal at all. So I need to know: is there any way to imitate a directional timer while having it always give out an analogue signal? This is for a level I'm building, and any help or comments are appreciated. | 2012-10-21 11:44:00 Author: Kaboosh99 Posts: 359 |
a directional timer does give an analogue signal as it rises, sounds like your way of detecting the analogue signal needs a digital on signal for it to work. wire the timer to a note set to "signal strength" and you will see the analogue value the following will add a constant digital on signal without affecting the analogue signal, this should give you the result you're after. the battery is set to 50% http://ib.api.vita.lbp.me/img/ft/58b7eb204b100159d05c75bd6d2af7894f4bdf65.jpg | 2012-10-21 12:48:00 Author: evret Posts: 612 |

Not too surprised to see that you're the first to reply, logic man. Too much LBPV, I see... As an alternative, you can use a positional sequencer to watch the vertical line reflect the signal going into it. I probably used about 30 positional sequencers for this one thing of my level. There's probably about 10 or 12 completely pointless ones. | 2012-10-21 20:49:00 Author: Kaboosh99 Posts: 359 |
