how do you make the green text bubble that explains controls?

I've searched the site, and I can't seem to find an answer. I would like to know how you make those little green bubbles appear at the bottom of the screen while playing a game that explain button controls. Example : press r1 to fire. I've seen it in other levels, and I think that it would be easier than explaining button designation before a level. I am making a simple space ship shooter level. I want 1 button to fire a rocket, and another button to boost speed. I just want those green bubbles to appear down bottom that say "press x to boost", "press triangle to fire". Anyone know how to do this? it's probably something simple that I'm missing. Thanks | 2012-10-19 23:46:00 Author: joelombardo830 Posts: 14 |
In the controllinator, when you hover over a button, press Square and set a name for it. For example, name R1 ''Fire Rockets'' It should show below the R1 Button with Fire Rockets next to it. But i'm not really sure. Try it and see if it works. | 2012-10-19 23:55:00 Author: Patofan Posts: 1185 |
Note: If you label the outputs on the controlinator, it will only display the button prompts on the bottom of the screen if the output has a wire to something and the controlinator is receiving player inputs (either from being a receiver or the player riding in it). If you label the output and don't wire it to anything, then it won't show. | 2012-10-20 16:06:00 Author: comphermc Posts: 5338 |
