Adventure Time is a cartoon currently airing on CartoonNetwork .
It centers around Finn, a 13 year old boy, and Jake, his dog best friend, and their adventures in the Post-apocalyptic world of land of Ooo.
Unlike other cartoons airing right now,the writers for Adventure Time set out to create and maintain a an internal consistency in how the characters interact with the world and other characters. I must say, they are doing a fantastic job of doing that.

There are currently 4 seasons of the show, and more are in development.

I owe it to myself and all of the other Adventure Time fans out there to recommend this show to you. I cannot stress enough of how much this show's goofy appearance may cover up it's internally deep and mysterious back story, top notch character development, and genius writing. Seriously. Check it out. Now. Here's the Wiki for further information. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adventure_Time)

Discussion of the show's episodes are fine here, but obviously use spoiler tags for anything that might ruin the experience of the show for a new viewer. Thanks!

P.S: Sorry if this has already been a thread, I searched and I couldn't find one.

I find it sad how people in my family prefer watching "Ant Farm" or "Shake it Up" Instead of this. They just find it loud and annoying

But yea, what gray said, the backstory behind everything is amazing. Its probably the best show on CN right now (What happened to Chower? That was epic!!!)

Chowder was fantastic. Although I think Adventure Time will always be my favourite show from CartoonNetwork <3

I love Adventure Time, watched every episode religiously so far. Although it's still great, I kinda feel like it's has lost its touch a little bit lately, trying to expand on the story aspect of the show. (eg. Marceline's backstory) I watched a repeat of "Death in a Bloom" the other day and it reminded me of when the show was just about two friends going on wacky adventures.2012-10-21 15:59:00

Hmm... interested. I actually LOVE the fact that they explore the lives of the other characters. It gives the cartoon more depth and personality. Especially in times like these, where animation on T.V is rarely creative.

Huge AT fan here, I have watched all of the episodes, have two papercraft Finn & Jakes at my home and just today I secretly wrote about Ice King in a school essay thing. It's sort of about childhood and innocence at it's core; a boy and his dog having wacky adventures. Then again it is also about growing up. I think we are seeing Finn slowly grow up and mature. Hopefully we will have a couple of more seasons and a movie, heh.

Oh, and I made this thing..

"Marceline, is it just you and me in the wreckage of the world?..."
All my feels, every time.

I can see how some people might say Adventure Time has lost it's touch as of recent, but I'd have to disagree. I think the development and back story of the characters is really interesting to watch and you can see it building up throughout the seasons. If it just dumped a load of heavy issues into an episode without warning, I'd agree with it being a little off, but these themes have been building up for a loooong time and I really enjoy the ride. Nothing better than a bittersweet story with some really fun animation and a lot of laughs.

If you've never seen the show before, try it. You might be surprised at how much fun it is.

P.S. Hi, LBPC! It's been a while...you haven't called....

Cartoon Network has been recently taking out good shows like "Sym-bionic Titan", the "Thundercats" remake, and "Young Justice" (pulled until 2013), but this show and "Regular Show" are what CN really needs to keep the channel alive. Yes, I agree, this is a very clever show. Lots of humorous moments, well-concentrated characters, and very colorful animation.2012-10-26 17:08:00

Regular show is awesome too

Although I prefer adventure time above all else due to it's setting and geeky subculture.
