Alpha for the new game "War Z" is available tomorrow! Who's excited? For those of you who don't know, War Z is a massive open world zombie survival game (most likely inpsired by the popular mod, Day Z). It features 250+ player matches with no rules/quests. It's essentially an open world sandbox game with zombies and a gorgeous Colorado landscape. Be sure to check it out! I just signed up for "Pioneer" and will be playing tomorrow! http://thewarz.com/ Now the question is, will the standalone DayZ game be even better? I have DayZ the mod and it was cool but buggy as hell.

They need something like this for consoles. Sure, we have Dead Island, but the more serious look of War Z does appeal to me. It does look very good.

Well... I love DayZ, so hopefully this will be good! Really want to see some gameplay footage before I make up my mind though. Rocket from DayZ really wants to push 'base building', if they pull that off, I think I would prefer DayZ... but then again, WarZ does seem to have some interesting features too, the time capsule thing looks good... My friend bought the middle price pre-order though, so I will be getting a 2 day triel on the 31st to test it out

But the biggest downside for me was the really bad engine. It runs terribly even on medium graphics... and my PC is playing BF3 maxed out on a 47'' 1080p lol. According to Sergey, the developer of WarZ, WarZ will be optimized very well! Can't wait! Also there are gameplay videos out there of alpha. Check this one out.
