My newly-published or re-published levels are frequently found in the cool levels section for some minutes after publishing. I think it is a general thing. But it is always good to see that our levels have been played and loved

Yeah same. When my level was on top page for a few minutes after publishing it got a few plays. Nothing in the big numbers though :/

I think this happens to all levels just published. But it'll be changed every second or something so out of the about 100 different people checking out the cool levels each second, about 5-10 might play your level It's how the system works to introduce new levels

so do you think if you want to you could sit there and spam publish on your level to try to keep it up there (i actually tried it a little bit last night when i heard thats how it works but i dont think i ever saw mine pop up there)

That is not always a good sign for me personally when I am checking a level, but others may have different opinions or not even bother to check it at all. Also people on your friends list will see you putting the level up again if they are on LBP at the time. Doing the republish shuffle is not without leaving a trail. :blush: I sometimes republish something once or even twice a day. Any more and I just can't live with myself morally. My levels have been getting plays though regardless of whether I have been republishing them or not though recently. It might be all the people I've added to my friends list, or people are seeing my levels on this site or in my signature, or perhaps people are coming back to play the level again. Whatever it is, I'm happy with how things are progressing. I could be a bit more agressive and try and republish more as I'm up to I think 28 hearts as an author, but I can quite happily wait. I am sure it will come with time, and it's not like I need the create trophy as the final thing before going platinum, at least not right now that's true.
