| Is there any way I can get something to move towards the screen, as in piston style. So it comes out at me and then either stays there or goes back. | Do you mean having an object move from the "back" layer towards the "front" layer? Unfortunately, the game only allows Sackboy to move between the three layers. | If you look at the first of the metropolis levels, it has a vehicle that is two layers wide and then using some clever ramping it goes back and forth up a ramp... I know this is not a solution to the problem, but it might give some tips on how to make things appear to change layers. The basic idea is something is wider than one layer and then interracts with things that are not so wide, making it appear like it's changing layers when it's really staying still. I know it's probably not the solution, but it might give some ideas and clues to move you closer to it.  But Gilgamesh is basically right, things can't move in and out of layers right now. You could use emitters or fast moving pistons to simulate the effect though, but at the moment there is no way to transistion change objects right now.  | 2009-01-13 22:30:00 Author: Elbee23  Posts: 1280 |
