I've heard that. Really looking forward to playing. It's just setting on my shelf for now -- along with far too many others I'm way behind on.

Regarding URL's in an LBP level, I found the EULA staring me in the face from the game's START menu (it was hidden behind "settings"). Anyway, in the user-created content, it says no solicitations or advertising. That wasn't the purpose of the level - just some FYI at the end - but it sounds like it would be against the policy regardless. So unless anybody knows differently, I'll assume links to other websites aren't allowed at all.

i think some of this sites users have mentioned LBPC In there levels and the azure palace level put the sites url in the description i think i.m not sure though

Hi.

I found this site today while searching for information about Sony's policy on URL's included in LBP levels. I'm (hopefully) about to release my first level to the public, and I've thought about putting some "about the author" stuff in a collectable bubble at the end. Part of this would be maybe URL's to some of my other games (not LBP-related) for anybody interested.

Does anybody know if that's against the EULA for LBP published levels?

Anyway, hi. Real name's Mike. I'm a Sr. Software Developer for one division of a large software company in Wichita, Kansas, and a hobby game developer by night. Wife, three kids, very little time, yadda yadda. But I've managed to put together a LittleBigPlanet level after a couple weeks tinkering with the tools. I'd like to find out how people have done some of the more advanced things in their games. So far, I've only been able to speculate, since my level probably has that "this is my first level" feel to it even without having been told.

For instance, I played a "Silent Hill Tribute" level a couple days ago. Very clever work. At one point, an entire wall (maybe a school? Don't remember) disappears in smoke to reveal the requisite Silent Hill "other" world behind. That was pretty slick. Not sure how it was done. A proximity switch attached to a brain, and the brain placed on the wall as if it was alive? How about designing the front/back, since the popit cursor won't go "through" stuff? Did the author construct it elsewhere on the map, capture it, and then "place" it there as an object? And wow, that would be hard to test, since destroying the front means you have to put it back before saving.

Anyway, lots to learn. I'm also a big gamer and game-collector, so it might just be a matter of days before I move on to the next thing (I'm itching to play Fallout 3), but maybe I'll at least put the finishing touches on my level and put it out there among the thousands already dwarfing it from view.

Oh, and one minor pet peeve about the LBP levels out there. It seems like the most popular will be the ones that piggy-back off an existing franchise to boost awareness and appeal. As much as I thought the SH Tribute was slick, for instance, it kind of irks me when people piggy-back off an existing (and copyrighted) franchise to get attention they wouldn't otherwise. But anyway. That's just me. Bring on the original levels.

Lol i kno that took a long time to type but welcome im new also
