I don't think there is one. I love the light beam deco though; combine with a decoration spinner and it makes a way better looking shaft of light than a foggy spot.2012-10-10 15:18:00

Only problem is, they don't disappear.

Easy enough to accomplish by emitting them and using the emitter's destroy input.

Ya, just finished doing that myself because I had the same question as this post.. Having a simple on/off input or even changing the animation speed or brightness of the object it is on wouuld make things a whole lot easier. Although with using emitters you can get some neat effects on how the thing emits and stuff...

There's also a "light beam wide" decoration.

You can also put the light decoration on a piece of sticker panel, then run an input to the panel with input set to dimmer. The beam will take the color and transparency values from the sticker panel - just be sure to set the transparency to 100% when off as well as on. For added effect, you can also put an invisible light on the sticker panel as well - makes a nice effect.

Tried this with both Light Beams and neither seemed to work. I also tried altering my Popit colours and there was no change there either. Are the Beams bugged?

I don't think it's me, as I'm not having any issues editing the other light decorations.

Light beam decos inherit the color/brightess of the base material...not tranparency. So the other decos work differently? Interesting.

It might be a rendering glitch, it works over a dark background, but if there's another object behind the beam, it'll be a faint white color.

They're still unaffected by transparency, I just couldn't get them to take on the colour of either the player of SP. Turns out you just can't see the colour change with the default background as it's too bright.

Cheers. Noticed that just after posting actually. In fact I couldn't see a change with any background colour other than black. :s
