Failed to Connect...
Archive: 3 posts
Most people know about this error message, and for over a year I had yet to see it... until this past week. It happens whenever I try to join certain people on my friends list or when they try to join me--it says "Failed to Connect" and neither of us are able to join the other. I remember this happening since the day LBP1 was released, so why is it still an issue? Forum searching provided no definitive answers and no recent posts--the most recent I came across was back in 2010. So I figured after over four years of this error occurring, someone would know of what causes this or at least of how to fix it. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. | 2012-10-07 11:19:00 Author: Rainbro Dash Posts: 121 |
For some players, setting up "port forwarding" helps. Basically this is telling the PS3 where to send and receive information, instead of letting the system so it automatically. Here's an article explaining how to port forward: http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Apple/AirPortExtreme/PS3_LittleBigPlanet_2.htm | 2012-10-10 17:52:00 Author: Pookachoo Posts: 838 |
Thanks for the suggestion! Fortunately, the error seems pretty random and tends to fix itself sooner or later. Still very annoying, though, especially after a week's worth of getting it. So if it ever happens again, and I'm sure it will, I'll be sure to give this a try. | 2012-10-10 22:35:00 Author: Rainbro Dash Posts: 121 |
