Right, after doing some serious creating for a few hours or so, and then I put into play mode, grabbed a creatinator, and the moment I got into a certain place in my level, it freezes. Turned ps3 off, it does the thing where it beeps 3 times, then turns off. I turned it back on, did the corrupt restoration thing (like normal, it never found anything corrupted) and I went back onto LBP. Re created everything, SAVED, then tested again. Froze. Again. Any ideas? I've played MW3, BFBC2, AC:B, LBP1, Deus EX, GT5, and they all don't freeze. I've also tested FIFA13+PES13 demos, and they don't freeze. Any ideas? Please...?

It's freezing in the same part of your level each time? Could be caused by something happening in the level, such as to many emitted objects at once. Are you using any glitches that might be problematic? Does it only freeze in play mode, or also in create when you un-pause? I've had repeated freezes before, but only in create mode when I made things too complex because of running emitters or merging objects. I get the same beeping but no corrupted data. Until you solve the problem, I'd suggest backing up your profile in a new spot - don't overwrite your last back up just to be safe. I always keep a copy of my profile on a memory stick in case my PS3 dies.

No glitches at all. No emitters that emit more than 3 or so objects at once. I haven't tested it in play mode, but in Create it freezes. I should really do a backup to my dad's external HDD....

Yeah, do the extra backup on your dads drive. Are you having problems with any other levels freezing? You might try capturing the area of your level that freezes, then open a blank level and place the problem area there - to see if happens when isolated. Maybe even try copying the whole level to a new spot on your moon. I don't know what the problem could be specifically, just trying to help narrow it down.

Alright, thanks. I'll do a backup, then just try changing little things in the level, isolating sections etc.

The problem seems to occur when I put a creatinator on. If I try to shoot it just freezes up. No problem with grabinators, or my 'custom' emitter powerup, just the creatinators. Hm... I also tried in play mode, and the problem occurred again.

What is the creatinator emitting? Simply getting rid of it and placing a new one might fix the problem.

I had a very similar problem just last week. I work on objects in various test levels then bring them together in one final level. There was one object, though, that--whenever I brought into the final level--would consistently cause this exact type of freezing (with the three beeps and the system restore) after about two minutes of placing it. Anyway, I ended up recreating the object and after that things worked fine. I'm just glad it was an easy fix. So if it's anything like my simple problem, and hopefully it is, then either your Creatinator or the object it prompts to the level is bugged.

Strange, because the object I'm emitting is being emitted by an emitter somewhere else in the level. So it must be the creatinator.... Hmmm.... Also, the freezing occurred in the same place again- I can progress halfway through a gameplay motif, then BAM, it freezes. ANyway, thanks, I'll try redoing the creatinator.

Happened to me when I tried to delete a microchip on a emitted object. Still not sure why that happened, since before and after this I could do it with no problems.
