Sick of those ugly lifeless rooms where pictures start flying around and beds explode? Do I have a cure for you, or rather, a Curse. Introducing the first level of a series of horror branded simply as "Cursed" Out of the 10 testers I've have had play this, 9 of them have reported they were legitimantly scared for once. The other one, we don't talk about him. Ever. To make a long story short, there's a new level out called "Cursed: The Mansion" that just might curb your craving for horror. Or not. I'm not a future sayer. That part of your mind is out of my sight. http://i786.photobucket.com/albums/yy145/Yegulsh/2a5a09f998963c296e575ae3713213b31b3ff112.jpg http://i786.photobucket.com/albums/yy145/Yegulsh/3338f7e4f7c21bad008b5d06155c1e0389743c6e.jpg A link to the level on LBP.me http://lbp.me/v/fk1jc7 | 2012-10-06 05:32:00 Author: Unknown User |

There once was a man who liked to queue he had so many levels, he didn't know what to do He sat down and played all day and all night this level here, looks like it may give him a fright! | 2012-10-06 15:24:00 Author: biorogue Posts: 8424 |

Ok. I was just going to queue this, play it and perhaps leave a review on the game... I thought it looked very well done from the pictures and as a major horror buff I had to give it a go. When I started I could already tell I was in for a treat. I love the expert level of presentation with the menu and loading screens. They really help make a level feel more like a game. The design of the mansion is wonderful. The detail is crisp and fleshed out. The lighting and subtle sounds set the tone perfectly. The bot is simple and well made. Interaction with the environment feels natural and works great to challenge the players ability to "figure out" this creepy and threatening maze. I walked around for a while trying to find the first artifact and hey, Holy water! I grabbed it, "A Spirit from beyond has awoken" o.O So I continued on and found a hole in the floor, jumped in and AHH! My light landed on a sackbot creeper and I was like, WTF! >.> I jumped into a bed behind a curtain and hid. An absolutely Wonderful mechanic, by the way ^_- After that I was hooked on this. I have to say that this is strangely similar to an idea I just used in a game I made recently and wanted to expand upon. I had hopes of creating what I felt was missing from LBP: True horror. You, sir, have accomplished this aspect with a FEW minor problems I feel can easily be corrected by us helping each other out. I am hearting you as a creator and I really hope we can work together some day. | 2012-10-11 20:11:00 Author: VampyreKai Posts: 34 |
