Is create mode frequently crashing on anyone else?

Seriously, it's making me angry. Sometimes it'll crash while working on a level. Sometimes when I save it. And sometimes when I return to pod... So pretty much with anything.

Is anyone else having problems?? It doesn't really motivate me to create levels.

Do you think it could be from the copy of the game? Or my Vita... Or it could just be from the things I have in my level.

I experience incredibly long rewinding times no matter how detailed my level is...

It''s just the game's design.

I just get long pauses when coming out of the pop-it and an occaisional save (And the save icon lasts a long time as well, if i turn it off before the icon is gone, i'd lose my progress)2012-10-05 02:31:00

That didn't used to happen to me, but I get it all the time now. I wonder if it has to do with my profile save file size now that I've collected 100% prizes, taken some photos, and captured a bunch of objects.2012-10-05 06:09:00

I get the long pop-it pauses, but it's level dependent. My initial test crater failed to load today, nothing important, and I had a backup but it's a bit disconcerting.

If the game starts crashing or I lose significant progress I'll just play something else. I know the PSP folks put up with worse...but I won't. Pity the LBPV features have ruined LBP2 for me.

My initial test crater failed to load today, nothing important, and I had a backup but it's a bit disconcerting.I wonder if you're not experiencing what I originally thought was an emitter bug (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=74397-Emitter-and-captured-object-bug-how-to-avoid-it) but right now it looks like it's having to do with profile objects.

On the bright side, you can usually get around the failed to load level thing if you just keep tapping the icon over and over - it'll eventually load. Sometimes it will do it on the second try, sometimes on the 15th, but it always eventually works. Seems they were smart enough to never completely lock you out of a level.

So far it seems pretty solid but has a few (expected) growing pains. They seem to be on top of the bug fixing - hopefully they'll push out a patch soon.

I know what you mean about the features though.. I think I'm going to ask dephysicalize to marry me.

This happens to me often Like, 50% of the time often. Every single time it has been leaving create mode either to go to pod, or test play. Sometimes when this happens is does not apply the save I did right before exiting. I think it has something to do with leaving while the level is saving. This has seriously been the only issue I have had with lbpv. No freezing & no other weirdness.2012-10-05 17:50:00

Very old habit of mine but I NEVER ever use the 'save changes before exiting' function - I always save manually and then exit. I've played too many other games and used too many other software applications that glitch out when doing a save-and-exit operation and hose the save data. If the game happens to crash when it's trying to save you could lose everything.

Fortunately though it doesn't sound like that has happened to anybody at all. My situation is pretty much exactly like yours Dortr - just annoying crashes when exiting create mode that require me to reload the game. No biggie really.

Well one time when it crash it did corrupt my custom stickers, at least until I restarted my vita. So unfortunately it doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility. That's why I copy my level 2 or 3 times on my moon so I have back up.

Me too. Been doing that since psp. I seemed to corrupt less levels that way on psp.

I do it out of habit on vita.

What the heck... the game crashed in my Pod (while taking pictures) and now the game won't even start up. Why is everything except story mode so unstable? For me, at least.

I hope to God this game will start up again. All I get is the loading screen.

I seem to be having most of the same issues you guys are. Only story mode sand the in game store seem to be working properly and to be honest its starting to put me off already.

I mostly only ever get a good couple hours in create before it kicks me out of the game with an unknown error. If i try to exit a level or switch to either play or create then almost 80% of the time i'm kicked as well.
I try to play levels i downloaded (Which takes at least 8 to 10mins or more to download at times) and just get failed to load the level errors almost 3 out of five times.

Also a lot of the logic seems to have issue not recognizing each other. Things i have put together in LBP2 seem to break more than work in LBPVita usually because the logic at some point just stops responding mostly when i am using counters.


People may complain about the bugs in LBP2 but this has been released with almost as many and horrendous loading times that sometimes never ever stop loading until you exit the game.
I love this game and want to really get into it as much as LBP2 but there are just too many obstacles preventing me from enjoying it at the moment.

I really do hope the next patch fixes a few of these issues. It seems to be the in thing at the moment for games to be released mostly unusable and bugged.
