Can't edit mah level.

You see, this random guy I met for the first time joined me while I was creating.

I was working on this level:

While I was creating, he randomly started working on a costume using a sackbot.

Once the sackbot dood left, a friend invited me, so I saved the level and joined him.

My friend then went offline.

So I returned to my moon, intending to work on my level some more. I selected 'edit' on my level.

Then it automatically switched to play mode, the game telling me that I need DLC to open it up and start creating. The packs I needed were the inFamous costume thingy and the Sonic Unleashed pack. I later figured out that the DLC was needed because of the sackbot that was still in my level.

This doesn't really seem to make sense, because if the host doesn't have the DLC, you can't use it, right?

Anyway, I need to know how to go into the 'edit' mode for the level I'm making, because it really seems like a waste to delete something I've been working on for a while.

So... help please? Any replies are appreciated.

buy the dlc or publish it copyable and ask someone with all dlc content to remove it for you

I would but I just looked and don't have the inFAMOUS Cole Costume

At the moment I can't buy any DLCs. So that wasn't much help, though I appreciate the thought.

I was going to get someone else to copy it and delete the sackbot, but nobody I know has both packs. So, ah... help?

Just thought you guys would like to know... whenever I go into play mode, the sackbot stands there. Just... standing. Mocking me.

So what do I do? I use a monster truck to crush him. And then an evil grin spreads upon my face. :kz:

I thought that was supposed to be the case, and I've had the game prevent placing DLC the host doesn't have.

I don't think I know anyone with that DLC either.

But... unfortunately, I didn't see your post until after I tried to get someone else to do it. This 'someone else' just copied my level and fled... so now I think I'm pretty screwed.

Dang, what a crummy story this is shaping up to be!

Some stranger comes in and manages to break the game, leaving you locked out of your own level. Some other stranger comes along pretending to help, steals the level, leaves you locked out still.

It's like that news story where a guy got stabbed at a sports event and a person coming to help just went through his bag and stole his PSP. Left him bleeding to death on the ground. Security cameras showed it, just heartcrushing.

Man...

I'd like to know when you're usually online?
It'll be 23:00 where you are when I get home from work today. If you have some friends that can help sooner that's cool, otherwise I'll be online then.

It really sucks that someone has run off with your stuff on top of all this.

I've got that problem in a day in my clan. It's like when you copy a level with DLC. The only way I was found is publish the level as copyable and blocked. Then give the key to a friend with this DLC and he delects the sackbot. Same way to he give the level to you again.
