This is Space Blade, which almost certainly is not referring to lightsabers, whatever those are.

There are 9 blade colours in total. Blue, Green and Red are unlocked at the start. Others can be unlocked by gaining awards.

These awards are easy to get as this is just a fun little minigame I made to get used to the new toolset.
Unlocks will be saved for when you return thanks to the memorizer tool (Which is amazing btw)

'But what do I do with the Space Blade?' I hear you ask. You need to get through as many blast doors as you can on a spacestation for an unspecified reason and you have only one minute!
Below is a standardish door.

This door requires you to use other techniques to 'force' it open. (Not a reference to midichlorians I swear)

Hope you enjoy this little minigame. It shouldn't take that long to get everything but is still fun to play. Feedback appreciated and don't forget to leave a link for your level for F4F if you want it!

I've had a go of it now. It's a fun mini-game, reminded me of something that would be on WarioWare for the DS when it first came out I didn't get the use of the rear touch screen for a while at first and that penalized my score but ah well 2012-10-03 16:49:00

Thanks for the feedback. I'll add a sign on that door saying rear touch. Or something similar.
Also want to say, I will probably add more doors as time goes by. Also working on better blade effects, currently it's just a touch icon.

Sorry to bump but the level has been updated with a few changes, a better badge, blade effects are now properly implemented and a rear touch icon has been added to the appropriate door.
More doors to come soon...ish.

Nice little mini game. I loved the way you had various settings and rewards in the main menu. It was challenging but not too challenging. The way you used the memorizer was genious. I gave it a like…

I've actually played this quite a few times, from the first version to this latest one, but haven't given any real feedback so far. It's a clever concept and I liked the mini achievement awards you added (can't get that 25 door one though!). They added good length to the game and everything worked fairly well. There was only a handful of different doors though which meant once you learnt them it wasn't too hard to get them done quickly. Maybe add some others like having to draw a line with the back touch pad? Just some ideas.

I did love this level and I think I hearted it so I can keep coming back to try and beat my own scores

<3 and a for this fun thing

Played and reviewed it! Great level. (I completely agree about the memorizer though. Really puts a use to it). The only problem i had with it was the line that goes vertically. I often found myself unable to hit the very bottom of it.2012-10-07 03:22:00

Wow, that was really original and fun. Great choice of music, fun minigame, replayability value with the in-game trophies (very nice touch).

I guess if I was grasping for something you could improve, I would say more variance in types of rear touch doors (I only encountered the one type in three plays). But you do have to shift your grasp to unlock those doors, so getting that elusive 25 would become ever harder if there were more types of blue door.

Looks awesome, sure to play this and leave you some feedback!

EDIT: I loved it! The concept is original, and fun to play over and over again.
The medals and blades are great adds aswell. I'd like more backtouch doors, but I see you'll be adding MOAR doors later. There's one problem though, I've had this weird glitch that when I get the Wookie medal, I lose all my other ones. A problem with the memorizer perhaps? Either way, an awesome and addicting minigame that I can keep playing. Yey, heart and download. Now if you'll excuse me, I got to beat 25 doors under a minute.

If you're still doing F4F, please review my Nys Labs OmniCircle Battle pwease. Link is in my sig, thread is somewhere around here. :3

Thanks! I've tested the level and that is a bug. But I can't figure out what's causing it. I'll keep looking for a solution. Thanks for telling me about it. Now to post your F4F.

Just played it, brilliant little mini game. It uses touch well, and is fun to play.

Definetly one of the best minigames so far.

Oh sorry, I tried the level but forgot to reply to the F4F. I liked the level a lot, although I would either make the lines wider or allow a small amount of uncut spots to stay (you would need 90% of a door cut for it to count), then the gameplay would be faster. Perhaps I'm just bad too
That's exactly the kind of level I was hoping to see on LBPVita: a small app you can play in the bus. I would like to see more door types, but I often tried using the touch screen on the lever-based doors instead of the rear touch - more rear touch doors would make it feel more natural.
