Is this a player to player transaction? It'll be that price because that'll be what they think people might be willing to pay. You could wait and see if someone else is selling at a more reasonable rate in the future.2012-10-02 17:20:00

Max Heads are expensive because they're not promos. They're used as a currency. They were a promo for Sam and Max: The Devil's Playhouse, and not many were released, so they're rare. People use it as 2 and a half buds, more or less the 54 keys you say.

Why? Because trading.

Hope it helped

Yes, what Patofan said. I recommend for future preferences to use TF2 Spreadsheet (http://www.tf2spreadsheet.blogspot.com/)
or Backpack (http://backpack.tf/). These can give you info on prices on items before you buy, and not get scammed

Thanks. but still... idk why some items are so expensive.
@Rabid-coot.
Ive never seen a price for max's head lower then 125 dollars in games or 50 keys. plus. prices are almost never bound to go down due to Buds slowly escalating in price.
@patofan
Why is the max's used as currency... that again. i did see someone using ornament arnaments as currency. xD
@spazz
The spreadsheet is an AVG price list. taking prices from around 5 different trade servers then making an avg from it. so there not definite prices.
