New Camera Suggestions?

Archive: 12 posts

Hey guys, I was wondering what relatively cheap cameras (under ?200)/camcorders you would recommend. I'd like one that would be high quality, not necessarily HD but just not blurry, grainy and so on.

Anyone know any?

I've been looking around on YouTube and things but I can't find much...

By the way, I would be using it mostly for film, not photos

Is it good quality? Because when you (for example) upload videos to YouTube the quality gets worse and I'd like it to be the best it can without it being ridiculously expensive.....2009-01-13 00:53:00

There are some nice Sony ones, but Sony = expensive. I say go for one less well known.2009-01-13 01:06:00

The Hitachi Hybrid. I was looking to get that, but it sold out so I ended up buying a Sony DVD115.

Uploading to youtube is where the problem is not the camera. It depends on what file format you upload also as youtube converts it to its own format and converts some filetypes better than others.2009-01-13 10:55:00

Well I've got quite a new Fujifulm J10 and it DEFO delivers.
You should look into it, not sure how much it costs (birthday present) but the picture quality is amazing and video's are pretty awesome too.
Anti-blur, portrait mode, baby mode, lanscape mode, cor there's even snow mode!

I have a Flip Mino and for $180USD it is great. Has software built into the video camera and you can upload right to YouTube. They now have an HD version for about $230USD. The thing is really small, has a flip out USB so you just plug it right in your computer and download.
