[Vita level] Pet Sackboy
Archive: 17 posts
name: Pet Sackboy creator: Hymanator level link: http://vita.lbp.me/v/qv2n I made this series a few years ago for the first LittleBigPlanet and I figured it was time to make a new one. It's all about being someone's pet and sneaking out of your cage to cause some trouble while your owner is away. The goal isn't to escape the house, but to simply have some fun before your owner gets home. I came up with this concept from a personal experience I had with a hamster that used to escape from time to time because of a really cruddy hamster cage that I bought. Random parts of the cage would snap off and I would have to go on a scavenger hunt to find my daughters hamster. After the hamster passed away I made this series to cheer my daughter up and to pay a little "tribute". This level is much more challenging than my previous levels, but I implemented a hint system to aid those that can't figure out some of the puzzles. Sorry in advance if you find it a little too difficult. Hope you like it! | 2012-09-29 03:13:00 Author: Hymanator Posts: 17 |

Played this, was glad it was the original creator and not some new guy copying the original lol. Great level, basically the exact same thing but with official objects like a real toaster and hamster wheel. Some things took me a bit to figure out, like that the TV remote was the object you needed to drive the car up over the table. I thought the square object was referring to something on the shelves above where the big earth ball was. But yeah, fun level, nice to see that the vita can handle even our favorite classics | 2012-09-29 08:18:00 Author: Nick930930 Posts: 878 |
I wasn't expecting this to be quite as fun as it was! I was very impressed It was all done so well! Although I admit i almost didn't see the stars dangling from the bedroom ceiling | 2012-09-29 21:36:00 Author: frosty_greenacre Posts: 100 |
Awesome level I saw a lot of it was almost exactly like the PSP one..But i don't really remember well the PSP one,So I'm pretty sure this one had new stuff after the beginning right...? | 2012-09-30 01:01:00 Author: ythyth Posts: 400 |
Hello! I had to problem to finish the level after the Planet Ball strikes down :c | 2012-09-30 12:04:00 Author: doggy97 Posts: 964 |
I wasn't really expecting much from this, as the only other 'Pet Sackboy' levels I've played had been the rubbish rip-off's. However this level was fun and actually had a little bit of difficulty to it, not just stroll around the house with no purpose Nice integration of platforming into a simple environment, clever humour and all the objects looked pretty good. Only problem was, once I got the sackboy treats, I didn't know where to go to finish the level Still very worthy of a | 2012-09-30 16:28:00 Author: Coxy224 Posts: 2645 |
Coxy, I wasn't sure there either, but you need to get up past the 2 teddy bears and you'll see some start dangling from the ceiling | 2012-09-30 16:58:00 Author: frosty_greenacre Posts: 100 |
Oh it's actually from the original creator? I've been avoiding it since I thought it was from a copier. Queued it! | 2012-09-30 21:00:00 Author: koltonaugust Posts: 1382 |
Great stuff as always Hymanator - nice to see one of these pop up to celebrate the launch of a new game. This level just oozes charm and fun - everything a LBP level should be. I LOVED the RC car bit - easily my whole aspect of the level. The VCR you made is pretty nifty as well and works just right. Obviously, a and a <3. Excellent work! | 2012-10-01 20:32:00 Author: Taffey Posts: 3187 |
The most hearted PSP level (Last time I checked ... ) ReVITAlized! Gotta play this sometimes. | 2012-10-01 20:37:00 Author: nysudyrgh Posts: 5482 |
I really liked the Toy Story feeling from wandering around a giant house, using toys as tools, to rushing back where I am meant to be before the owner gets home! I liked the looks and the gameplay, especially as it was straight forward and you had to think about the puzzles. Yayed and hearted | 2012-10-01 22:10:00 Author: Unknown User |
This is one of the first lbp custom levels I ever played (on any system) and what a great way to start! I only got stuck twice but both times the hint system kicked in just as I was about to say 'screw it' to show me the way. Very good level. I actually acquired LBP2 shortly after and tried out the PS3 version of this level and it's clear to see you have learned a lot since then, Vitas version is vastly better. | 2012-10-03 18:41:00 Author: Unknown User |
Very fun level too play! Nicely done! And thanks for the multi-touch tip you gave me . | 2012-10-03 20:19:00 Author: Unknown User |
I guess I did make it a little bit too challenging in a few parts. Sorry to those who got frustrated by it. I picked up LBP Karting recently and made a racing version of the Pet Sackboy series. Let me know if you get around to trying that one out. Only about 10 people have seemed to play it. The community seems pretty empty compared to other LBP games. I want to make more on the Vita, but I am waiting until all of the slow loading bugs get fixed. Thanks for all of the feedback! | 2012-11-19 11:16:00 Author: Hymanator Posts: 17 |
