Failed to Connect to Players

Archive: 4 posts

I get this no matter who I attempt to play with. Not only that but I suppose I could use port forwarding but there are 2 Vita's in the household so forwarding one would kill the other. I've tried port triggering but still the same issue. Not only that but the Vita lists that I have NAT Type 2. Any help would be appreciated.

EDIT: I tested port forwarding by forwarding ports 3478-3479 to just my IP and still get the same issue. What is going on? Did they even test this?

EDIT2: Tested my connection on SpeedTest.net just to make sure it's not my connection - http://www.speedtest.net/result/2203910101.png (http://www.speedtest.net)

I've had connection problems when not using NAT Type 2, but it's strange that you are still unable to connect with the open connection. Are these strictly friends you are trying to connect to, or random people? It could be that all your friends are not using open connections, and thus the problem seems to be on you when it's really not.

@Kiminski - when you run a connection test on the Vita, what is your NAT Type?

I know nothing about those connection types. All I know is that I could play online the 5 times I tried, I can't see the in-game store, and that some level publishing pins don't work. Other than that, the game is awesome!2012-10-06 03:48:00
