I will enjoy any genre of level as long it either has: a) A new element that has not really been seen in the community before b) A high level of polish (visuals, gameplay etc.) I realise this might not be the most helpful reply, but, in my opinion, as long as you make a good level, people will enjoy it. However, the more important factor is to make something which you enjoy making. | 2012-09-25 16:01:00 Author: PGdafrog Posts: 277 |
I like levels of almost every genre, as long as they are innovative and push the limits. I love it when something really ambitious but awesome is released. Something that is really impressive, and out of the ordinary. Something that has a unique theme that hasn't been done before. | 2012-09-25 21:15:00 Author: Unknown User |
Story driven adventure by far. Anything innovative is really great. | 2012-09-26 00:52:00 Author: Kalawishis Posts: 928 |
Cool, thanks guys.... Just want toi get a general feel for what kind of levels people enjoy playing in general, great advice though PGDafrog, Cavesack, Kalawishis, and Lady_Luck_777 for moving my thread | 2012-09-26 02:16:00 Author: Sean88 Posts: 662 |
I was wondering, on lbp2, what type of levels do people enjoy playing most. 1- Top-down RPGs 2- Platform 3- Story Driven Adventure 4- Side-scrolling Shooter 5- Movies 6- co-op 7- versus Platformers and co-op experiences are my bag. Good sense of progress, I can play easily with a total stranger or a friend or alone and it always feels worth the time. | 2012-09-26 08:51:00 Author: Unknown User |
I'd also like to point out that I really enjoy creative puzzle levels. However, they are very hard to make because even if you have a good idea it's very hard to strike the perfect balance between being too easy or too hard. | 2012-09-26 17:55:00 Author: PGdafrog Posts: 277 |
I love platformers that have bounce pads everywhere. | 2012-09-26 18:35:00 Author: Jovuto Posts: 2345 |
I like levels that you don't see a lot. Real RPGs, survival horror, sometimes top down shooters... platformers rarely show much innovation, as they are by nature, the easiest to make; I tend to shy away from those. | 2012-09-27 12:03:00 Author: Tynz21 Posts: 544 |
Hmmm.... All good advice guys ...thabnkyou. I'm working on a 'level at the moment thats a beast to do. Its more or less just an explore type adventure. its more just about exploring an old mansion, but with a difference. I just would like to try a short mini game level and wondering what people like most in levels....All input is good. Thankyou | 2012-09-28 13:50:00 Author: Sean88 Posts: 662 |
