I've got fairly large fingers, and am having some trouble touching the end of the object in the layer tool (L1). I'm just using the right stick for changes now, though I think there is a solution for the touch screen. If each end of the object had a 'tab' piece on the side of the layer tool. Something much larger so it could be easier to touch and drag, like a square with an arrow pointing to the end of the object.

I like this, though it should be that you could turn it on and off in your settings.
