Grid on/off Button on screen

Hey  Turning the grid off and on is really annoying in LBP Vita. It would be very nice if there would be a small icon in create mode to toggle the grid off and on. | I had a similar thought, but where would it go? Consider the following: You select a block of material, and are moving it across the level. Halfway there, you decide that you want to change the grid snapping. | You could always have a grid on or off and size option on every material. Make it a tap menu though for small, medium and large. Put this just under the 'static' option. | This was suggested in the LBPV beta forum. Cool, an opportunity to quote myself! The grid really gets in the way when creating organic stuff so I like to turn it on/off as needed...this was never convenient in LBP2 and the tiny recessed start button/slider on the Vita is even less so. I'd like to see the following change. There should be an on screen toggle to enable/disable the grid, just like with preview mode. The grid size slider in settings would still control the grid size. The none option on the slider could be removed...or it could control whether the screen toggle is displayed (none would hide the on-screen control). Would also be handy to toggle front view with a touch control...but I understand wanting to balance convenience vs. screen real estate/clutter. What do you think, good idea or current UI is fine? I was also thinking the toggle could go in the upper left below the preview toggle.
