http://www.joystiq.com/2012/09/19/kingdom-hearts-1-5-hd-remix-announced-for-ps3-features-remaster/ Kingdom Hearts 1, the Chain of Memories: Re, and 358/2 days. No word on if it's coming to America, though... Or Europe, though it'd be region free and English so /shrug No KH2/BBS/DDD. Hey, they need games for 2.5. After all, all that is WAY too good a deal for an HD collection. Especially from Square :/ EDIT: Seems like 358/2 days is just the cutscenes in an HD Theater mode. Well, guess that makes sense, didn't know how they could port a DS game to PS3 :/ | 2012-09-20 04:21:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
I... Need... This. Now! I was planning on starting Kingdom Hearts 1 over again all summer, but I thought "Ehh... I can see them doing an HD collection soon enough..." This really is my lucky week, provided there's an English version! Never really got to play Chain of Memories either. Just too bad there's no KH2 or BBS. My old PSP died before I could get far into BBS, and it's not available on the PS Store for the Vita. | 2012-09-20 05:01:00 Author: KlawwTheClown Posts: 1106 |
Just too bad there's no KH2 or BBS. My old PSP died before I could get far into BBS, and it's not available on the PS Store for the Vita. Wait for the inevitable 2.5 HD Collection. Provided this comes out in English, of course... WHICH THEY BETTER. | 2012-09-20 05:03:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
Need to stop getting my hopes up for KH3 whenever I see "Kingdom Hearts...." I wouldn't bother playing any of the KH games besides 1 & 2. Anything that's not KH3 is just filler. | 2012-09-20 05:11:00 Author: Bremnen Posts: 1800 |

Well, BBS and DDD served the purpose of twisting the story up even more... seriously, reading about them is like watching your mind implode. It's just so... confusing. When KH3 comes out, not knowing those games would probably make the new plot, like, wut? | 2012-09-20 17:03:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xYDcekBaNM&feature=player_embedded Trailer with english subs. Also, looks like they changed the menu system thing, since now it's only 3 options instead of the 4. I hear they changed the "Special" button (i.e., open chests, talk to people) to the Triangle button. | 2012-09-24 15:05:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |

Sorry to rain on your parades, but it seems like it's only coming out in Japan... Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix announcement ?only for Japan?. (http://gematsu.com/2012/09/kingdom-hearts-1-5-hd-remix-announcement-only-for-japan) How amusing. They're really getting on my nerves. | 2012-09-27 20:48:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |
The article means nothing. It is merely reporting on the announcement that it was coming to Japan. It doesn't say anything we don't already know | 2012-09-27 21:01:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
The article means nothing. It is merely reporting on the announcement that it was coming to Japan. It doesn't say anything we don't already know When Square-Enix announced that this HD Collection would come out in 2013 in Japan, I expected it to come out some months later in Europe (or at least in North America). When they say "this announcement was only for the Japanese market", I understand it as "this game is only to come out in Japan", but maybe I misunderstood the news. But after all, Kingdom Hearts Re:CoM never came out in Europe. I hope it'll different this time! | 2012-09-29 20:39:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |
Yeah you just misunderstood. Some guy sent an email asking about the collection being localized, and square said they only announced it for Japan. Do you really think they'd reveal big plans like that over an email? Remember, Atlus was denying Catherine would be localized a week before they announced it was coming over. | 2012-09-29 21:00:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
My bad then! Sorry about that. I just hope they actually will localize it. | 2012-09-30 08:55:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |
My bad then! Sorry about that. I just hope they actually will localize it. Even if they don't, all you need is a japanese account... :3 As long as you actually pay for it, that's fine, right? | 2012-09-30 10:35:00 Author: Speedynutty68 Posts: 1614 |
Even if they don't, all you need is a japanese account... :3 As long as you actually pay for it, that's fine, right? Hi, A Japanese account? Playstation 3 games are usually region-free (besides Persona 4 Arena), but even if they weren't, creating a Japanese account would be pointless (unfortunately!) | 2012-09-30 15:31:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |
Hi, A Japanese account? Playstation 3 games are usually region-free (besides Persona 4 Arena), but even if they weren't, creating a Japanese account would be pointless (unfortunately!) From what I read, this game will be downloadable (Correct me if I'm wrong). If it is only going to be distributed in Japan, then it will only appear on the Japanese PSN store. You need a Japanese account to access the Japanese items on the Japanese PSN store. Therefore, creating a Japanese account would be the only way to access the game to buy it. | 2012-09-30 22:45:00 Author: Speedynutty68 Posts: 1614 |

How do you not know this... http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/img-thing?.out=jpg&size=l&tid=57143493 I thought it was going to be discs and therefore unavailable other than import, and I didn't know the Ps3 wasn't region locked | 2012-10-01 01:28:00 Author: Bremnen Posts: 1800 |
Well there's currently no real confirmation it'd be downloadable, and even if there were they are rerecording Final Mix to be Japanese (when apparently it was originally Japanese text to English voices <_>). So, just remember that it'll be all in Japanese. | 2012-10-01 01:38:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
Being that I'm bored, I just wrote up a quick summary of the current Kingdom Hearts plot, "spin offs" included. This is the set up for Kingdom Hearts 3. There once was a guy named Xehanort, who lived on Destiny Islands, always wishing he could leave. He eventually did, and met Eraqus, and the two of them became Keyblade Masters. Xehanort became obsessed with the ancient "Keyblade War", in which legions of keyblade wielders fought to the death in search of the Light. Eventually, the war destroyed the world, but seven pieces of light allowed the world to be split into many pieces. He desires to reignite this war, so that equal powers of "Good" and "Evil" can collide, forging the X-blade, which he could then use to open Kingdom Hearts and create a world of balance- equal parts light and darkness. Eventually, Xehanort finds a young apprentice named Ventus, who has the power of the keyblade. Xehanort wants to train him to be pure darkness, and have him fight with a being of pure light in order to create the X-blade. However, Ventus is full of light, so Xehanort merely extracts the darkness from him and creates Vanitas. He leaves Ventus to die on Destiny Islands, where he is saved by Eraqus. Xenahort realizes he is getting too old and might not live to see his plan come to fruition, so he plans to gain a younger body. He sets his sights on Eraqus's apprentice, Terra. Terra, Ventus and Aqua are very good friends. However, Xehanort plays with the darkness in Terra's heart, trying to get him to surrender to the darkness. He forms an alliance with a man named Braig, a servant of Ansem, for this purpose, as Braig desires the Keyblade for himself. Meanwhile, Xehanort tries to pit Ventus and Vanitas together to form the X-blade. Xehanort succeeds in fusing with Terra, but Aqua stops him from forming the X-blade, although Ventus falls into a coma. Aqua turns their home into Castle Oblivion, promising she'll wake him up, and then goes to face Terra-Xehanort. During the battle, Aqua falls into the Realm of Darkness, sacrificing herself to save Terra-Xehanort. Terra-Xehanort is found by Ansem, seemingly having lost his memories and simply says his name is "Xehanort". He becomes Ansem's apprentice. Aqua, meanwhile, travels alone in the Realm of Darkness. Ventu's spirit finds a young boy named Sora, and rests dormant inside him. Xehanort and Braig eventually decide to create 13 beings of pure darkness and then pit them against 7 beings of light to create the X-blade. As such, they turn themselves and other castle guards, as well as two young boys named Isa and Lea, into Nobodies and create Organization 13. Xehanort and Braig lie to the other members, telling them that Kingdom Hearts is their only way to achieve Hearts, even while some like Axel and Roxas gain feelings, in order to get them to follow their will. However, aside from Braig and Saix, all of them are viewed to be either too weak or too traitorous and are tossed aside. Vanitas's darkness somehow creates the Heartless, who begin consuming worlds. Xehanort's Heartless, who takes the name Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, goads Maleficent into collecting the 7 Princesses of Heart, the light that survived the Keyblade war, as a backup plan to unlock Kingdom Hearts. A young keyblade wielder named Sora goes on a quest to stop him and save his friends, Riku and Kairi. He temporary turns into a Heartless to free the Princesses, defeats Ansem's Heartless and the Princesses, then gets lost in the void between worlds. There, he finds Castle Oblivion, where Ventus sleeps. He first encounters Organization 13 here, and stops an insurrection within their ranks. Then, he is put into sleep for a year while Namine tries to resort his memories back together again. When Sora became a Heartless, a Nobody was created named Roxas. However, he was actually the persona of Ventus resting within Sora. He joins Organization 13, and befriends Axel. After finding out what he is, though, he leaves the Organization and volunteers himself to DiZ, the original Ansem, to become one with Sora again. Sora awakens, and goes to stop Organization XIII and Xemnas, Xehanort's Nobody, from achieving Kingdom Hearts. Along the way, all members of Organization XIII die, and Sora soon finds himself back home on Destiny Islands. Ansem finds himself back in the void between worlds, where he finds Aqua, who was wondering the Realm of Darkness all this time. they both forget what they are doing, but DiZ remembers one name that will set everything right again: Sora. Yensid discovers Xehanort's plan, and calls Riku and Sora back to become Keyblade Masters. The two of them set off on a quest to gain strength. Xehanort had set all this back up plans in place but now his real plan is coming to fruition. He created an alternate timeline where a Younger Xehanort was traveling through time, finding other versions of Xehanort to create 13 of them, as well as the original Braig and Isa who were the only successful "Clones" from Organization XIII. Now, there are Xehanort, Xehanort's Heartless, Xemnas, Younger Xehanort, Braig, Isa, and seven other Xehanorts. they intend to fight against the Princesses of Heart, seven beings of pure light, in order to create the X-blade and open the path to Kingdom Hearts. Meanwhile, the original somebodies of the other six Organization 13 members from Radiant Gardens awaken, and Lea, the Somebody of Axel, goes to help fight against Xehanort. He gains the power of the keyblade somehow, and together with Sora, Riku, Kairi, and Mickey Mouse start created a group of seven Keyblade masters to combat against the 13 beings of pure darkness Xehanort is creating. However, they worry doing so will indeed create the X-Blade and achieve Xehanort's goal of achieving Kingdom Hearts. | 2012-10-01 02:20:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |

To be released in Japan in March. Still no word of a foreign release. Also, new confirmed features Kingdom Hearts Final Mix - You can switch between English voices with Japanese subtitles or Japanese voices. This wasn't possible in the original KHFM release. - Completing the game will unlock a PS3 Custom Theme. - Trophies - EXP Zero and Combo Master abilities are added to the game. - The Talk and Special Attack Commands have been remapped to the triangle button - Full camera control on the right analog stick. - The summon command has also been changed somewhat, but it's not specified how. Re:Chain of Memories - Trophies - Completing the game will unlock another PS3 Custom Theme. 358/2 Days Theater - Over 2 hours of cutscenes completely remade in HD and fully voiced - All of Roxas' diary entries, the Secret Reports, and the Character Database are all included as well. - There's also a PS3 Custom Theme reward for this | 2012-12-23 00:11:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |

Yeah, could make things difficult considering it's an RPG. Equipping the right items might be a big problem. Still tempting though. | 2012-12-23 21:55:00 Author: LieutenantFatman Posts: 465 |

I liked the Gameboy version... like, 6 or 7 years ago. Haven't played any Kingdom Hearts in YEARS. Like, at least 5. ... And it's still one of my favorite series? I FORGET HOW THEY PLAY! Indeed. For CoM, I thought the disney storylines were boring as they were just rehashes, but the original parts of the game were awesome. I really like the story of this series. | 2013-03-03 00:04:00 Author: xxMATEOSxx Posts: 1787 |

Nice, shame there is no Kingdom Hearts 2 included there but I'm sure I'll be playing this again at some point regardless. Bring on the fun. | 2013-03-12 22:43:00 Author: LieutenantFatman Posts: 465 |
http://www.khinsider.com/news/KINGDOM-HEARTS-2-5-Contains-KINGDOM-HEARTS-II-Birth-by-Sleep-and-coded-3246 Secret trailer at end of 1.5 HD confirms 2.5 HD, which will have Kingdom Hearts II, Birth By sleep and Coded. | 2013-03-14 22:21:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
http://kotaku.com/5991237/lets-look-at-the-ps2-and-ps3-versions-of-kingdom-hearts-side+by+side Video of the PS2 and PS3 versions side by side. And almonds, they made the PS3 one look better. | 2013-03-19 13:39:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
Really looking foward to this, and with Birth By Sleep in 2.5 Hd yadayadaydada the only one I'll be behind on is Dream Drop Distance. | 2013-03-19 15:34:00 Author: xxMATEOSxx Posts: 1787 |
So, tomorrow finally. Yay. My childhood returns. | 2013-09-09 17:42:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
Gah waiting for tomorrow is killing me. XD Cool that they have 2.5 HD Remix as the secret ending though I'm pretty sure most saw a 2.5 Remix coming. Fingers crossed that they make Birth by Sleep playable when it comes out, really have been wanting to play that one. Then everyone is just one game behind with Dream Drop Distance. Would of rather seen that instead of Coded in 2.5 since I feel DDD is more important for the story then Coded but oh well. | 2013-09-09 20:24:00 Author: argetlam350 Posts: 212 |
I might have to give this series another shot with this game. What I mean is that I didn't hate the series, but couldn't get into it. It should be easier to get into with this game. | 2013-09-09 22:24:00 Author: amoney1999 Posts: 1202 |
I'm actually resisting the urge to buy this. I already have some version of each of these games and gta is coming out too. If I can only get one game then I need to prioritze. That being said, Christmas or my next birthday can't come quickly enough. | 2013-09-09 23:02:00 Author: xxMATEOSxx Posts: 1787 |
Was planning to grab this off of PSN but it looks like they might only be releasing this on disc from what I've read online. Looks like a nice little collection, I'll definitely pick it up at some point, only so long I can resist. | 2013-09-16 11:24:00 Author: LieutenantFatman Posts: 465 |
I've been enjoying this game for the past week, or more specifically I've been enjoying Kingdom Hearts Final Mix. Right now I'm trying to complete everything on one playthrough before beating the game to see whatever secret so called ending they have with this game, then I'm going to move on to beating Kingdom Hearts Final Mix on beginner while doing the under 15 Hours, No Changing Equipment, and No Continues trophies, then after that I just need to beat the game on Proud mode which will be the last trophy I need to get the platinum then I plan to enjoy Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories. | 2013-09-16 14:01:00 Author: argetlam350 Posts: 212 |

Looks like a nice little collection, I'll definitely pick it up at some point, only so long I can resist. Yeah, something about the main theme. It seems that they only have the rights to have it on disc, and they'd need to pay extra if they want to distribute it digitally, which downloadable games technically would count as. Anyway, I'm planning on beating it on Normal, then moving on to Chain of Memories. I'll platinum it later, but playing the whole thing three times in one go would be too much for me to take. anywho, currently at Atlantica. | 2013-09-16 14:06:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
Well, playing this has been fun. Also, 2.5 has been confirmed: http://www.joystiq.com/2013/10/14/kingdom-hearts-2-5-remix-unveiled-hits-ps3-worldwide-next-year/ | 2013-10-14 15:35:00 Author: RockSauron Posts: 10882 |
Finally I will be able to play Birth by Sleep. Final Mix version no less. After that, just need to cover Dream Drop Distance somehow. Also, I know its a bit premature, but think the post credits vid of that game will be KH3 ified? | 2013-10-14 15:42:00 Author: xxMATEOSxx Posts: 1787 |
