Could not find a good place to start listing bugs found so this post will do instead of creating a new post for each.

Trying to have it take a photo and material objects are randomly left out of the picture. For example a Sackbot standing on a piece of wood captures a Sackbot floating in mid-air. Also could not hook a snapshot camera to a player sensor.

Just a little gripe more than anything. If you're looking at the details of a level and hit 'download,' the spinning earth doesn't show up while downloading. But then again, it's not really a huge bug.2012-09-19 23:49:00

I've been trying to sticker a sackbot (Easier for making custom costumes for me) and it seems whenever i rewind from placing a bad sticker, the sticker i used becomes darker if i try to place it again. Rather odd and annoying.2012-09-19 23:55:00

Hug-Of-War and I managed to escape one of the story levels in the third world. Turns out one of the walls is dephysicalised and if you jump at just the right angle, you can go inside it, and walk on the insides of the ceilings. (Sounds confusing, eh?)

Environment: Pod - Publishing a level
When publishing a level the narrator talks to you about it. Since the dialog is so long you finish publishing well before he finishes talking and ends the dialog. Now the boolean that gets saved as you listened to the dialog has never got set to true so you get to hear it each time you publish.
Solution: Not publish right away and let him go through the entire dialog and then click the finial publish button.

Environment: Level
If you have a camera sequence near a scoreboard the players will spawn no matter if you have the entrance set with a timer.

You cannot capture the text from a notepad in a screenshot from the popit or start menu. This would be nice to be able to create a sticker with text in it. The main reason for creating stickers with text is you cannot rotate the notepad text and you can a sticker.

I got a GPU crash, so that's a thing. I'm not sure if it's a problem with the game or the hardware.

In the global controls you can turn off shadows but with the tool for global lighting you cannot. In game it is nice to have the shadows but when the player switches to a menu you may have built it would be nice to be able to dynamically turn if the shadows and then turn them back on when the game resumes.

Just wanted to bring this bug to people's attention so that it may be fixed. By tapping the name of a locked level in your "Recent Activity", you are able to play them in spite of being locked.

If the level supports it then you choose the number of players when you start the level,Stuff like air hockey controlled by touch that each player controls the other part of the screens and that sorts of stuff support local players...

When scrolling through your folders choosing outfits for your sackperson, it sometimes jumps to the top of the menu and you press X and accidentally reset your costume.

It has happened now like.. 5 times to me. It's so incredibly annoying. This bug needs immediate attention. Happens in create mode menus too.

Some of the LBP.me related pins don't work, done them a half dozen times today and got nothing


(the trophy involving LBP.me and queue list can simply be done by queueing it in-game and choosing it off of your Queue list, no idea if this trophy is infected by this problem)

I'm having a problem with building a suspension for my vehicle. When I attach a bolt to a wheel that's attached to a body by a spring, the spring glitches up! When I glue the wheel to the spring, it acts normal! See the attached photo: 41948 The Springs are set the same for the two wheels, except one is bolted on and the other is glued. The bolted one acts as if its really heavy, and breaks the springs! It even bends the Piston holding the cardboard frame! This is my car (See attached picture) 41949 When I use motor-bolts, the wheels break after un-pausing! I even tried normal (non-motor) bolts! Gluing the wheels (see photo) 41950 works fine - the suspension acts normally, except it cannot move! I made a level to show exactly what's going on: http://vita.lbp.me/v/-w6d - Copy it to your moon and see if it does the same!

Update: I discovered that changing the material that the bolt was connected to from cardboard to something else (I used metal), the stretching or compressing of the springs wouldn't be as extreme. There's still something wrong, but I was able to complete my car - and it works correctly! The only issue is that I have to set the springs to 100% strength to get the effect that 70% strength gave me when the wheels were glued on.

I hope that bit of info helps anyone struggling with vehicle suspensions.

Hello every one. I found one more small bug with 3G connection in LBPV

When I use 3G connection in LBP Vita it does not show question about joining for someone for coop play or playing alone. It is right, because 3G connection have many limitations and very unstable is some areas.

But when I played in some community levels with working 3G I had several requests for joining to me from different players. I answered "No" and everything work fine, but one time I accidentally anwered "YES" and player tried to join me. In a several seconds LBP vita freezed. Only solution was to close and restart it.

So maybe it will be better to comletely turn off possibility of receiving requests for joining during 3G connection on. Game understand connection variants (there are special message when game switch from Wi-Fi connection to 3G and vice versa),so it must me simple enough.

The sparks animation doesn't work when you put them on invisible material
Why do you now need to dephysicalize sticker material so that it doesn't interfere with other stuff?

I'm building a fuse. I have a little four wheeled vehicle (made of invisible material) that runs on a length of more invisible material. On this I attached the spark animation (which as I've said doesn't animate when on Invisible material). So to get around this I put a little square of sticker panel and put the spark on that. I then dephysicalized some wood and overlayed it. The result is that the sparks now move as intended around this piece of wood. My next step was to copy the track I built and change it to sticker panel material, turn down the brightness to 0 (so that it is black) and then put it over the original track. This was so that I could have a black fuse that the sparks moved along. When I overlayed it, the little vehicle stopped working (why?) I had to dephysicalize the sticker panel material for it to work but I shouldn't have to.

There's an error where if you place a custom sticker on to any surface. Then pick up the sticker (or copy that sticker) with the sticker tool, and then finally place it back down on any surface. The sticker will seem to increase in contrast. Either that, or it gets slightly darker.

I discovered this when I was creating some black & white pixel art, but the funny thing is, this error actually looks better, and reflects the true colours of source image on my computer. The original sticker when its first placed, is the exact same colours as the sticker materials i took the photo of, which is good.. but as I prefer this bug, I actually hope it doesn't get fixed :-P

There seems to be an error with the thermo, and how it relates to captured objects in the pop-it.

I created some pixel art, took some photos, and placed the stickers on some rectangular sticker panel. The thermo filled up the first 3 bars in total for the level. I then captured the rectangular pieces with the stickers, and then placed these in a new-blank level. The resulting thermo for this new level, filled up the 3 bars again... :/

Edit: I just created another new level, and created some new sticker panels, and placed the saved stickers again, and still, it fills up 3 bars of the thermo... This surely cannot be right?

Couple minor things.

Touch sensor on invisible material registers touch in create mode w/preview off, it doesn?t work in play mode?should be consistent. Fully transparent sticker panel does register touch?so work around is to glue a piece of it to the invisible material.

When positioning an object in an emitter the on-screen controls for horizontal/vertical mirror appear and can be used but are ignored when the object is emitted?should be supported or the mirror controls shouldn?t appear. A work around is to mirror the material the emitter is attached to and emit that?the emitted objects will then also be mirrored.

* The new emitter option to cleanup when destroyed as well as the cleanup input is absolutely fantastic!

1) When publishing, sometimes touchable material switches to its 'on' colour, no matter what switches are attached.
2) If you let the Vita go into sleep mode, after starting up again, it seems to crash fairly regularly whenever you try to save, switch to play mode, take a photo, or capture an object. (sometimes even 'forgets' any saves you made before sleep mode activated, which is particularly annoying.)
3) If I take a photo while playing a community level, the rest of the level will play REALLY slowly while the Vita saves the photo, but the lag seems to go on for the rest of the level.

I find creating offline works much better, but the bugs still appear, just not as regularly.

I got the downloadable version of LBPV, is this maybe a problem with the game data? do people who got the physical version have the same probs?

So, I've been making my entry for LBLV1 for quite a while now, and I tried testing the part of my level that is already finished online. And I found a bug that's driving me nuts. The thing is, when I play it in my moon, the level works fine, but when I play it online, materials that are supposed to change color during the level, like neon, and visible sticker panel; are stuck in their "On" setting.
This only happens in the online version of my level.
I've tried erasing it from my Earth and publishing it again, modifying the color settings, brightness, etc. But no way to sort the problem. I guess I'll try to recreate all () of those materials again and see if it works, but I'm posting this in the Help section to see if any of you guys has expetienced anything like this before, and if you knew how to correct it.

Sorry for double post, but I've got some new info that I'm sure Syroc and Tarsier could use to fix the problem I stated before:
-It seems that every single material that can change color is stuck at the On setting in my online version (only for that level, I published a blank level with a touch block that changes color every second and it worked fine), anyway sticker panel never showed this problem. That made me change all of the changing color materials to sticker panel, but meh.
Aghhh, I had another thing I wanted to state, but I forgot. I'll edit this post if I remember Hope that was useful anyway.

Weird bug I discovered the other day that annoyed me- after I woke my ps vita from sleep mode my sackboy's head would not stop spazzing up and down. It was quite distracting while creating.
Also the move by touch is very buggy and often leaves sackboy in a material or under it when there was no way he could have gotten there.

I was just working on my level when I noticed something strange that I couldn't understand. I'm hoping someone here can help me or tell me if i'm doing something wrong.

I have an object with a 'follower' type mover inside a microchip. The follower is set to follow a green tag.

I captured a static piece of cardboard with a green tag on it.

When I emit the material with the tag within range of the follower's range, it acts as though the tag does not exist and does not move to the tag. However when I just place a tag there that is not emitted, the object will move to it. I tested this with other sensors to react to tags and they don't seem to recognise my emitted tag. But work if i just place a tag next to it.

When the saving icon on the bottom left is present everything in the game slows down. For example, in create mode it will freeze for 1-3 seconds each time I hover the cursor over an object or gadget. Everything in the popit menu takes forever to load and the audio is delayed up to 15 seconds at times. The worst of it all, these saving times can last for minutes.

This drastically slows down the game for me and is quite annoying.

There seems to be an error with the thermo, and how it relates to captured objects in the pop-it.

I created some pixel art, took some photos, and placed the stickers on some rectangular sticker panel. The thermo filled up the first 3 bars in total for the level. This. This has been driving me crazy. I haven't really seen anyone else talk about this, but when I used more than 5-6 unique photo-stickers the therm shot up over 25%. Using just a couple makes it slowly go up but after a point it just jumps. I don't know if it's a bug or a limitation of vita, but on the PS3 you could have a large number of different photo-shot stickers and it's limiting me in a few ways. With patch 1.04 I had my hopes up with that memory leak note but that didn't fix it. It seems like it must be a bug because I think that, like you mentioned, 3 stickers would do it and now I can fit a few more before it happens

Keep in mind that the thermo is not a purely linear representation of a single value. It is effectively showing you the highest value out of several, so it could just be that the "stored custom photos" value (if there is such a thing) is bumping up the thermo without actually filling up the level all that much.2012-11-11 17:51:00

My fiancee had her data corrupt randomly today. I was making a meal and called her through to help (as my wrist is broken), she left her Vita on sleep. Came back a few hours later having eaten and washed up, game crashed with a random error, tried to reboot and it said the file was corrupted, please redownload previous update. Couldn't work out what to do so I turned her Vita off and on, loaded LBPV again, and found that she'd been restarted from the intro level again, having just aced and collected all on story mode!

Note: happened on patch 1.04

When playtesting a level while still in create mode, any activation of a memorizer will count as a rewind-step. If you have multiple save-points that utilize the memorizer, you will need to rewind several times to get back to where you began.2012-11-20 01:39:00

Tap/Direct touch isn't detected (or is uber flakey) if the global touch control is set to front screen only and you have a finger resting on the rear touch pad!

Real pity this is broken, it's nice to turn off circle cursor when rear pad isn't being used. This also explains why Stampy won't sit sometimes in Requiem...

I discovered an odd bug/quirk related to touch screen and speech bubbles. Am using touch to turn off speech bubbles in my levels (among other things), and it's a bit finicky at times.

If a magic mouth has been set to 1-shot, the game does not recognize any touch activity while the speech bubble is active, but if the magic mouth has been set to on/off touch is recognized; this may be by design. The bug/quirk comes into play depending on player distance from the zone being touched.

When testing in create mode, I often use a basic button to activate different sections of the level. Sometims touch would work while speech was on, sometimes it would not. After nearly an entire day of experimenting, I discovered that if the button I was standing on was too far from the movie camera scene, touch was disabled. Moving the button closer to the scene caused touch to work again.

And before you ask no, there were no player proximity switches or anything of the kind playing a part in the equation. I recreated the bug with very simple logic in a new empty level using nothing but a button, a movie camera, a magic mouth, and a touch sensor.

Using a control seat seems to override this little quirk, so really this only impacts me personally while testing in some instances. Not the biggest glitch in the world, but it's a little odd.

I did the same thing once I suspected the cause; re-created the problem with a simple touch sensor on a piece of sticker panel to change it from red (off) to green (on). The Nyko grip prevented me from discovering this earlier. I've stopped using the global touch setting for my new level.2013-01-13 21:12:00

I have a really annoying bug that I cant solve. When I published my first level, I was expecting to get the share and share alike pin and the custom badge job pin, but I didnt. I now have two levels out, and I still dont have the pins. It doesnt really matter, but its annoying.2013-01-13 21:36:00

I just found something that to me is so annoying I changed the material I'm using for my level.. The poppit cursor over "metal" "bunker" white material, pressing 'l' to make it invisible to work behind it does not make it invisible.. The green border does but not the white.. Grrr.. You are not alone.

There is a work around to get to your profile, a thread somewhere here in the vita forums explains it.

Tarsier is aware of this, should be a fix soon, I hope.

You can't wear "sphynx head" (big cat ears from the cats pack) and hair at the same time. However on LBP2 you can....

Whenever I try to enter my "downloads" page, the game crashes. It will load for about 20 seconds, and then a message will pop up which is saying: "there was a problem with the level you've been playing, so you are now back in your pod." this could however have to do with the space on my memorystick, because I hadn't got much space left. The game does lag when you're on multiplayer. I tried helping others get their prizes (and to get my x2 prizes), and there's a major lag, making it harder to get the prizes.

For DLC bugs, the holo-suit eyes are missing while the suit is gray rather than blue.

When I tried the advance mover tool on a controlinator, the vehicle I went on wouldn't go up when I go up as it did the opposite. Another bug is that when I rewind while on the controlinator for the third time, the game crashed. I think this has to do with the newest update that came this week. There are 2 bugs which I had encountered.

First bug: In the create mode, I am using the emitter. After i have chosen the object (a vehicle) which is to be emitted, I would have to place it on screen area where it is free from obstruction. Usually there is no problem doing this, but this time it just couldn't appears on screen. I have to reload the create mode to get rid of bugs.

Second bug: While using jet pack in play mode, the sackboy stucks and couldn't move. I have to re-enter the play mode to solve this issue.

Everytime I click and drag over an object I created in create mode, frame rate drops substantially. This only happens when microchips are collapsed. If they're open, its fine... which is weird because I would have assumed the opposite would occur.

The popit cursor keeps trying to go to the upper right corner of the level. Nothing's wrong with the analog stick or the touch screen. These things work just fine in every other game. Its infuriating.

I guess i will add a bug..

Scenario: voice recorded magic mouth with text set to subtitle on sequencer.

Script is long and when hitting play it will require 2 subtitle bubbles.

what happens: the voice recording on the mouth on the sequencer plays just fine except the script in subtitle bubble 1 gets stuck and it doesnt show the rest of the script subtitle bubble2 until after the sequencer timeline has gone completely past and some the magic mouth. Then it will show the rest of the script/text moments later and the 2nd half of the text/script in subtitlebubble form will be stuck on the screen.

I don't know, if the developers still fix bugs in LBPV, but I will add it.
