Finding Pongo is set in a downtown Steam Works it's a Platformer/Puzzler where after finding Pongo you then have to lead him back to safety (and him, you sometimes) You control Pongo with the Right Stick for movement, L1 to grab and R2 for jump.

The level isn't too long but I think it's quite tricky, it's one I've been working on for a while, the logic's on the dog got my brain confuzzled quite a bit but it's quite fun controlling the little dog as well as yourself through the level, I hope you enjoy playing it as I get on with making part 2

Obviously a great amount of time and attention to detail was put into this level. The cinematic was fun, but if I had one criticism it would be that the scene felt "jerky" when the camera angle changed. Maybe try some Smooth Cut and give it an extra second or so for the camera to pan. When I got to the first level to rescue Poochy I had a difficult time finding the switch to open the door. It would really be nice if there was more lighting behind the fence to see the switch. The next section could use better lighting too. If it wasn't for the signs in the background there is no way I would have known there was anything to grab onto. Once past that section you have to drop down by a fire hydrant (really liked that as a continuation point btw. very cute), the tube you walk through obstructs your view of sackboy so it is difficult to know when you're about to drop down. The next part with the wheels has what appears to be fire visual effects, but they will actually kill your character! It felt very random to me, like "what just happened?".

Once you get to pooch... wow. Very cool concept, but so counterintuitive! I felt like I was in grade school trying to pat my head and rub my belly at the same time for the first time =p It felt a little odd to me that I'm trying to rescue the dog, but the dog ends up rescuing me. That and the dog was disposable. Once I got the dog to drop the boxes and I got them lined up, I had to have the dog go down and lower/raise the lift for me to get to the next stage... but in doing so I had to leave poochy behind. Seemed to defeat the purpose of the mission to me. All that would need to be done to fix this is to give a little more space on top of the box with the switch so you could stack 2 boxes up and still have space to climb and jump. Actually now that I think about it, the easiest way would be to shorten the lift a little. Then you wouldn't need to bring poochy down to operate the lift and you BOTH can escape together.

The next part needs some kind of instructions. It took me a while to figure out how to operate the grappling hook while having pooch hold onto me simultaneously. I don't know if the game is bugged, but I got to the next platform with the bounce pad with the dog, but the bounce pad won't activate so I'm stuck.

Anyway, I hope you take my criticism the way it's meant to be. I think this could easily be MM pick material if it was polished up a bit. I look forward to future installments. Please have a look at my level: http://lbp.me/v/fg97b0

Thanks for your feedback, it's much appreciated, I will try and smooth out the camera angles, this is my 1st attempt at a little movie intro and I must say I found sackbot acting, cameras and sequencers aged me a whole lot lol. The other points you pointed out are supposed to be that way, It is a platform/puzzler, so switches have to be sought out, fire has to be dodged, when it goes dark, you are supposed to follow the little grab signs to know when to jump and in the room where you have to stack the boxes, Pongo shouldn't come down, if done in the right order, you and the pooch can escape intact, the little movie that plays as you enter that room shows you the various switches that have to be pulled and the platform with the bouncepad that you said doesn't work, if you look closely, it shows a paw print on the 2nd platform and a sackbot on the 1st, thus meaning you stand there, Pongo goes to the other and up he can bounce and operate the switch I will queue and play your level very soon

I remember the clip panning around the puzzle area. Actually, it would be nice if there was a way to trigger that sequence again. As far as the bounce pad goes, is there any particular reason the player has to stand in a different section? It seems needlessly confusing. I got past that part, but I can't figure out the final section. The art on the wall makes it seem like if poochy jumps off it will trigger a bounce pad or something then they both swing to safety. But they just jump to their death for me. I can see that you put lots and lots of effort into making this level. I just don't think most players are going to be able to complete your level.2012-09-13 17:55:00

Yes it needs to be that way as it makes you have to think how do we get past this bit As for the last bit you and Pongo need to both be there to use the grappling hook, then its simply jump with him grabbing you and get out of that hole in the wall lol
