Back from the dead

I'll spare a long explanation and just say this: I've been off of this website for so long, LBP2 wasn't even out when I went away. Though if you prefer the long, yet bite-sized version, it's right there for you.

Unfortunately, after wising fwom my gwave, which was about five minutes ago, I learned most of my old LBP buddies- GreyMRP, Kaboom, ect ect are still in theirs. Oh well.

The only reason I left this site was because my PS3 caught a nasty YLOD for the second time, and just a few weeks prior to LBP2. I wasn't going to cough up another $115 at the time, so that was its- and my- final breath. Good night, sweet shiny not-slim beast. And a flight of Vitas sing thee to thy rest...

Though I figured that since there's more than one place to get a PS3 fixed, and that they could probably do better for cheaper, I'm attempting to get back into the LBP community without actually getting into it.

It's only a proposal, but if I get it fixed cheap, I can probably add a used copy of LBP2 GOTY Edition onto that carriage and ride back into this glorious collection of people where I as a player feel quite welcome. Might as well come back to LBPC if I plan to carry this out.

As I mentioned: my PS3 broke about two weeks before LBP2 was in stores, so yeah, I have no idea what any of these fancy grappling/sackbot/story-characters-who-actually-have-depth/crazy-awesome costume things are. Forgive me if I speak out of turn or act all caveman on you.

Also, posting this in Introduce Yourselves because rising from the inactive almost two years after you faded is pretty much being new anyways. Future shock, yo.

Good to be back,
JawboneX

welcome back into the fold Jawbone! yeah, you've missed quite a bit. I'm blown away on a daily basis at what some people are coming up with on this game. Hope you can get the PS3 fixed and have you on LBP again.2012-09-11 04:04:00

If you're blown away on a daily basis, then my gray matter is afraid of what's to come, for I'm sure it will explode.

Definitely. I love LittleBigPlanet and even just hearing or seeing about it makes me all warm inside.

Also: found some pretty cool beans today, apparently a new copy of LBP2 Collector's Edition is $20. Can I get a "scoooorrre"?

Plan's going along fine, I've had to switch from fixing my current PS3 to buying a used one for cheap ($220 isn't cheap, but for a 160gb PS3 it is).

I'm really excited to get into LBP2, preferably before the end of the year. I keep thinking about LBP1 and then LBP2, and in comparsion, LBP2 just looks and feels so much more futuristic, which is a huge plus for me. Very shiny and hi-tech.

Though one thing I'm not too excited about is how they changed the music for "Set The Controls for the Heart of the Negativatron" when the ship starts falling apart and you're in low gravity. Don't like the new tune.
