I was working on a level which has a light background, when suddenly an odd, dark shadow appeared. It turned my entrance black and now whereever I move the odd shadow follows me. It has ruined my background. I started over from scratch and it happened again. It does it in every level I test, blank and previosly made. It does it in other people's community levels too. I shut down my Plastation for an hour and I came back and it's still there, following me wherever I go, including up in the air. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yikes! That sounds like a fundamental profile glitch. You should determine if the problem is limited to your current profile, or affects every profile. My advice (explained in simple steps, apologies if you know all this already): Sign in on other accounts, or create a new account, on your PS3, and play the game. If the problem is limited to your profile, and not the others, you just need to fix your profile. If you've dealt with importing and backing up your profile before, you know what to do. If not, the rest of this is a quick walkthrough: IN THE GAME (Recommended) Put as many unique objects, stickers, etc. as you can into Moon levels. (Recommended) Publish all your Moon levels to your Earth for safekeeping. 1) Create a new backup profile. (In your pod, pause, then go to Backup Profile.) EXIT THE GAME (Recommended) Copy the profile from PS3 to USB device. (In the Game menu, go to Saved Data Utility and copy your LBP2 profile to Storage Device) 2) Manually delete all LBP2 data from the PS3. (In the Game menu, go to Saved Data Utility and delete your save data.) IN THE GAME When you play the game again you'll be new and fresh, but when you go online you can re-copy all your levels to your Moon. You will have to play the Story levels again to get those items proper, and you'll lose a lot of pins and progress toward trophies and things. You're starting over, just not COMPLETELY over. You can at this point try to bring back your old profile, if you copied it to USB. EXIT THE GAME 3) Copy the profile from USB device to PS3. (In the Game submenu, go to Storage Device and copy your save data.) IN THE GAME 4) Import the profile. (In your pod, pause, then go to Import Profile.) Good luck.

This happens to me when i use the move controller, a few weeks ago my profile corrupted and wouldn't let me save anything, but it fixed itself somehow. I still get chills when i watch that little spinning loading earth in the bottom left.

I had the same thing happen. It started in paint. When I shut down the system and restarted the problem was gone.
