Slap Sensors on objects
Archive: 4 posts
I was wondering if it wsas possible to make slap sensors on objects that arent sackbots. I was making my own pet monster that has attributes and emotions. So if you are one of those monster abusers, I was trying to make it where if you slapped him he would make a pain face and it would yelp. Any ideas? | 2012-09-09 15:38:00 Author: Unknown User |
I don't think that your player's hand actually has physics aside from slapping other sacks, so I can't think of a way to make that happen. | 2012-09-09 19:27:00 Author: Pookachoo Posts: 838 |
I have no idea whether this would work, but you could try having a contolinator that follows the player, set to 'reciever' and 'controlled by nearest player.' Then, you could make it so it would detect when you do the slapping thing, that is, pushing R2 and flicking the stick. Then, a player sensor on the 'monster' that would detect whether you were close enough for the slap to effect the monster. Again, I dunno if it would work, but it sounds like the only difficult bit would be making it determine whether you actually slapped or not, that is, whether you actually slapped, or just flicked the stick, but not enough for it to slap. | 2012-09-09 22:50:00 Author: bluesteel789 Posts: 159 |
That sounds like a good idea, Bluesteel! Yes all i need is a player sensor to activate the Microchip that has the controllinator on it to signal an AND Gate. Thanks Cant wait to try it out! | 2012-09-10 01:28:00 Author: Unknown User |
