Well, I need to create a health system that uses 'health points' So before you all rant on about the counter or the timer methods this HP system needs to work like- Having say 10 points of health in your bar, then some attacks put your health down by 1... and other attacks take your health down by six or something so this- by my knowledge, makes counters unusable, and timers are inaccurate from my experience... If you have to use timers that are inaccurate than at least is it possible for something similar to this? Thanks -Conan

Well most people wouldn't advise you to use Timers or Counters, per se, it's more Feedback Loops you want to look into. Deducing the health points by 10% or whatever other value you want is perfectly possible. Comphermc's tutorial on the matter explains everything. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c4GaCQ1eRVE)
