Zombie Apocalypse | Top Down Shooter

Hiiiyaaa guys !

I just decided to publish the first prototype, the first demo of an old and abandonned project. A little shooter in retro style... Not really retro but you'll see anyway :

Just keep in mind that this level is just the prototype of what I wanted to make and this is a really short gameplay demo, so yeah, nothing is perfect, and a lot of things need improvements, like the A.I for example... So anyway I hope you will enjoy it.

Just played it a couple of times, liked the cinematic feel to the opening (though it should definitely be skippable for those of playing more than once.)

First thoughts are that the character pivot controls need a lot of work, they are not responsive at all - which basically makes it really hard to get past the first couple of zombies because just as you start moving, you are immediately swamped by zombies and it's easy to get stuck in the corner, unable to turn around and shoot them off of you. You should ease the player into the level a little better...give them time to adjust to the character and controls before letting the horde of undead swarm in

Second, I think the zombie AI could be tweaked out a bit. They always make a beeline straight for the player and latch on to him. MIght want to vary it up a little to give the players a fighting chance.

looks promising, although I think it'd be cooler if you made a unique looking Just and made the charter models a bit less geometric. The enviroments and sticker use look good though. I'll have to actually play it and see.2012-09-09 17:48:00

Played the other day and had the same issue as Chaz. I couldn't even get out of the first area, just couldn't control good enough to be effective and got stuck behind a trash can or something. The environment looks great though. I wasn't too keen on the character models but the structures and outlying scenery were great.2012-09-10 20:09:00

Fixed a few things, removed the zombies of the beginning and I made the intro skippable ! Also, if you are stuck between a wall and a zombie, just try to kill the zombie with punch by pressing triangle 2012-09-12 16:49:00
